App access to location

Many iOS apps require access to your location, but not all of them need this access. Carefully consider which application you want to allow this access. You can then customize everything you need in Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Location Services. Then always click on the application in question and activate the desired variant in the Access to location section.

Removing location data from photos

For all social media lovers or anyone who likes to share their photos and videos all over the web, this feature is indispensable. It offers the ability to remove location data from images in advance so that no one can find out where the shots were taken. When sharing a photo from your iPhone's photo gallery, tap Elections at the top of the display. Then just deactivate the item Place in the section Include.

Activating location alerts

With features like location alerts, you'll always have an overview of what's happening with your data. This gives you more control over your privacy. When you allow an app to track your location, Apple lets you know via a notification that displays a map of the location data the app has obtained. To use this feature, run Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Location Alerts. Activate the item here Show map in notification.

Deactivation of notifications, Siri and Control Center from the lock screen

Some less experienced users might be surprised by the number of actions that can be performed from a locked – and thus seemingly secure – iPhone. On an iPhone's lock screen, anyone can swipe up on Control Center to access the camera, Airplane mode, Bluetooth, and more. In the Notification Center, he can read previews of some notifications, and even on a locked iPhone he can activate Siri. If you want to change access to elements from a locked iPhone, run Settings -> Face ID & Passcode. Head to the section Allow access when locked and disable the selected items.

Password checker

From time to time, you should check to see if any of your passwords have become part of a breach. This useful feature is offered natively on your iPhone Key ring. On iPhone, run Settings and tap on Passwords. At the very top you will find the section Security recommendations. Click on it to check which passwords are at risk and change them if necessary.
