All iOS and iPadOS users are surely familiar with the native Notes app that comes pre-installed on these devices. Apple is constantly working hard on it, but if you're serious about more complex notes, it's a good idea to look at third-party apps. Today we will show OneNote from Microsoft, in which you cannot complain about the lack of advanced functions.

Organization of notes

In OneNote, to write more complex notes, you create a notebook in which you add sections. You can then insert any number of pages into them. The whole process is very simple. Just click at the top icon, which will display notepads and partitions. A menu will appear where at the top you click on New notepad, which you can name before creating. The option to add sections is again at the top of the application.

Highlighting and highlighting text

If you are in a lecture at school or in a job interview, you may be given an assignment or need to distinguish a certain text from the rest. This is done in OneNote by selecting a section of text you mark in the upper part you go to the tab Home and in that you click on the option Mark. Here you can simply choose how you want to mark this text.

Embedding an audio recording

If you learn well from a teacher's explanation, OneNote is for you. You can record an audio recording by moving to the Insert tab, then selecting the Insert audio recording option. Of course, you can continue to write while recording.

Assistive reader

OneNote offers a perfect function even for those who perceive materials better by ear. Just go to the tab Display, on that you select an option Assistive reader. It will read the text you have written, in which you can scroll, change the speed of the voice or have the read part of the text displayed. A big advantage is that OneNote reads the text to you even on the locked screen, so you can study or listen even while traveling and save your device's battery.

Quick notes

If you're in a situation where you need to write something down but don't want to create a section or block, that's no problem in OneNote. At the top of the app, move to a tab Home, select an option here Quick notes. You then simply create or browse your existing ones.
