The iOS operating system, and by extension, of course, iPadOS, is literally packed with all kinds of functions and gadgets. Since there are so many of these features, it's highly unlikely that you'll know all of them - we're all learning over time. In today's article, we'll take a look at 5 features on the iPhone that you might not have had the slightest idea about. The features mentioned below are really very useful in many cases and quite possibly you will literally love some of them and start using them on a daily basis. So let's get straight to the point.

Call on hold

From time to time we may find ourselves in a situation where we simply need to disable the microphone while on the phone. You can get into this situation if the other party needs you to find something, or if you find yourself in a place where there is a lot of noise. Muting the call, i.e. deactivating the microphone, can be easily done during a call by tapping on the top left crossed-out microphone icon. Of course, almost all of us know this function, but you definitely did not know that you can make a call in the same wayto hold. It's enough that you they held down the icon with the crossed-out microphone for a long time. In this way, you completely "cut off" the other party, but without ending the call. With a call on hold, you can simply start a call with someone else, then quickly and easily return to the call by pressing again.

Hide photos and videos

What are we going to lie about - probably each of us has a photo or a video in the gallery of the Photos application that no one but us should see. Did you know that you can easily hide content from the Photos app on iPhone and iPad? If you hide any content, the photo or video will be moved to the Hidden album and will disappear from the photo library. So, for example, if you lend your phone to someone to look at some photos, you can be sure that they won't simply come across hidden media. You can hide a photo or video by clicking on it or on it you tap and then press at the bottom left share button (square with an arrow). In the menu that appears, just drive off below and tap the option Hide. Finally, tap on to confirm this action Hide photo whether Hide video. You can then find the hidden media at the very bottom of the section Alba in the album Hidden. If you want a photo or video return back, so on him in the Skryto album click then press share button, get off below and select an option Uncover.

You can also type with Siri

Every iPhone or iPad user knows that these devices have the Siri voice assistant. Although it still does not speak Czech, it is still used by many Czech users - and often it is no honey. If you are one of those users who are shy to speak English, but writing to each other in English is not a problem for you, then smarten up. You can also control Siri on iPhone and iPad by typing with it. So, in practice, you activate Siri and instead of saying a command, a small text field appears in which you enter your command. If you want to activate this function, go to Settings -> Accessibility -> Siri, where activate function Entering text for Siri. Now, whenever you press the button to activate Siri, you will be able to correspond with her.

Keyboard for one hand

If you own one of the larger iPhones, such as the Max or Plus variant, or if you are a person of the fairer sex and have smaller hands, you may find that you simply cannot reach some letters on the other side of the keyboard when using the iPhone with one hand. Apple also thought of this and added an option to the system, with which you can simply shrink the keyboard, i.e. shrink it, either to the left or to the right. Thanks to this, when using the device with one hand, you can easily reach the other, more distant part of the keyboard. If you want to activate the keyboard for one hand, then move to text field a summon her. Then bottom left hold your finger on the globe or emoji icon and from the menu that appears, tap at the bottom corresponding icon to shrink the keyboard to the left or right. A keyboard for one hand after that you deactivate by tapping on an arrow in empty space.

Using the pointer while typing

Even though iOS and iPadOS can automatically check and correct some words when you type, sometimes you may find yourself in a situation where you simply need to go back in the text. In the classic way, you can achieve this by clicking where you need in the text with your finger. In this case, however, you often miss the mark and have to delete a longer part of the word than you would like. However, there is an option in iOS that you can use to turn the keyboard into one of sorts track pad, with which you can control the pointer and move precisely in the text. The activation of this "trackpad" differs depending on whether you own a device with 3D Touch (iPhone 6s to iPhone XS) or not (iPhone 11 and later, iPhone XR and iPhone SE). If 3D Touch you have that's enough press hard anywhere on the keyboard, if it you don't have so hold your finger on the space bar. The letters will then disappear from the keyboard and you can use the surface as the mentioned trackpad.
