The school year is slowly but surely starting and not everyone is looking forward to studying. If you're using an iPad to work while studying, you're probably trying to find the best apps for taking notes, learning, or creating documents. In this article, we will show you applications that will be useful for you at school and may motivate you to learn more.

Microsoft Word

I probably don't need to introduce the classic in the form of Word from the Redmont company to anyone. It is an advanced word processor that, among other things, also offers a client for the iPad. Although the app is free in the App Store, it only works for writing with iPads smaller than 10,1 inches. In case you have a school email, you are probably entitled to Office 365 Education for students, where, in addition to the suite of Office applications for phone and tablet, you also get 1 TB of OneDrive storage. The version for iPad does not offer all the functions like the one for the computer, but it is enough for more advanced document creation and you can write stylish work in it without any problems.

Microsoft OneNote

Although Word is a useful software, it is not completely suitable for notes. OneNote, which offers countless functions for free, will serve as a great notepad. You can sort your notes into notebooks, in which you insert sections and then pages into them. You can insert images, tables or various formulas into individual pages, there is also Apple Pencil support. The app also includes an assistive reader that reads the entire note aloud to you, even from a locked device. This is especially useful when studying material for tests.

Keynote

Apple's presentation software is one of the best apps for creating presentations on the iPad. It offers countless different animations and transitions, options for inserting all kinds of tables, graphs and images, and much more. It's also a perfect feature that you can switch the individual frames using your watch during the projection, which is definitely not to be thrown away. To be honest, this app saved my grade many times when I found out I had a paper due 15 minutes before the class started.

MindNode

If a certain type of material does not go into your head and ordinary notes do not help you, perhaps creating a mind map will help you. The MindNode application will help with this, which enables the creation of these maps in a very clear interface. After creating them, you can export them to PDF, web version or directly to native format. There is support for Apple Watch, where you can view all created mind maps. The application is free for the first two weeks, then the full version costs CZK 379.

Be Focused

For those who find it difficult to concentrate on studying or doing homework, Be Focused is a great app. In it, you set the time you want to devote to learning, and the application divides it into intervals. In those, for example, you study for 20 minutes and you get a break for 5 minutes. In order to be efficient at work, devote yourself only to learning during the study interval, and go have a coffee or watch an interesting video during the break. You will find that Be Focused will help you. You can read the review on Be Focused right here.
