Apple Watch is without a doubt the perfect device that, in addition to health functions and measurement of sports activities, will save a lot of time in communication. But did you know that thanks to third-party applications, you can have notes, school materials or even your school schedule on your wrist? After the longest coronavirus vacation in history, the school year is just starting, and we have prepared 5 great apps for you on this occasion, which are especially suitable for students.

Drafts

The Drafts application could be described as a kind of hybrid between a notepad and a text editor. After opening it on your iPhone or iPad, a text field will immediately appear in which you can write, but you also have many specific options here - for example, working with the markup language Markdown, copying formatted text in classic form or as HTML, and much more. The watch app allows you to create documents and view already created ones, and you can also add different tags to the text. If you're more used to working on a Mac, don't worry, Drafts is also available for macOS. In addition to the free version, you can subscribe to Drafts Pro for CZK 49 per month or CZK 509 per year, but for many of you, the free version will be more than enough, which offers a lot of features.

Noted ․

If you are looking for a minimalist notebook with many extra features, Noted is it. the real walnut. After opening it on an iPhone or iPad, a clear interface appears in which you just need to create folders and add notes to them. In the notes themselves, you can insert images, videos and all kinds of attachments, format the text or work with the Apple Pencil. Additionally, you can add each folder to Shortcuts with one click and use Siri to open it. But the biggest advantage of the application is that it allows you to make recordings, where you can mark the presenter's time periods in real time and you can move around them after the recording is finished. You can also use the last mentioned function on your wrist, and the recordings are of course synchronized via iCloud. The basic version is free, after subscribing to Noted+ for 349 CZK per year or 39 CZK per month, you get the possibility of fast export of recordings from Apple Watch, better sound quality, skipping of silent places and a huge number of other functions. I think this app is more than worth the subscription. Personally Noted․ I use it as my primary notebook for school.

MiniWiki

As the name suggests, with MiniWiki you get the ability to browse Wikipedia on your wrist. This is especially useful when you want to quickly find out various information. In addition to searching and reading, the application offers a list of the most read articles. After purchasing the Pro version, you get offline downloads or relevant articles based on your location, with several different plans to choose from.

Class Time table

With the new school year, every student's schedule changes, which presents considerable problems at least in the first two weeks. The student must constantly monitor what class he has and which class he should move to. The Class Timetable will help with this, in which you just need to enter all the data. The application is both for iPhone and Apple Watch, and of course also for iPad and Mac, so you can monitor everything from your work tool without any problems.

Microsoft Translator

It is always useful to have a translator at hand, and the one from Google is probably the most widespread, but the client for Apple Watch is still missing. However, Microsoft comes up with a rather good one, and I would say that it does not give much worse results than the one from Google. In addition to translating individual words and sentences, the version for Apple Watch also allows you to translate a conversation, which is certainly a great gadget that you will appreciate when you meet a stranger and you do not know their native language.
