Apple is one of the technology giants that sets the direction, and not only in technology. We have already been able to confirm this fact several times thanks to competing companies that are regularly inspired by the Californian giant. However, every company, and thus its products, excels in some things and loses in others. So in this article, let's look at a few things that Apple could work on in the future.

Apple's innovation is a bit lacking

Despite the fact that the Californian company still ranks among the pioneers in a certain way, it is unfortunately catching up with the competition in some areas. There can be several examples - for example, non-ideal multitasking in iOS and iPadOS, or the constant use of the Lightning connector on iPhones, which is significantly slower than modern USB-C. In addition, more expensive flagships of Android phones have various gadgets hidden in them, such as reverse wireless charging, through which you can charge the headphones directly from the back of the phone, or an always-on display. Although it is true that we are comparing one phone and computer manufacturer with dozens of others, I still think that there are aspects that Apple could simply work on after all these years of activity in the consumer electronics market.

Responsiveness in the approach to individual developers would be appropriate

As some of you may have guessed, in order to create a developer account and program applications for the App Store, you have to pay an annual subscription, which costs around 3 crowns. From each transaction in your application, Apple will take a 000% share, after all, the same as with other technology giants. There would be nothing wrong with that, and I don't even mind that you can't officially download apps in iOS and iPadOS from sources other than the App Store. However, the Apple company could work on its conditions regarding the App Store. For example, I can't get my head around why, despite all the efforts, Microsoft can't get Xbox Game Pass, designed for streaming games, into the App Store. Apple does not allow similar applications to contain games that are not officially available in the App Store. So if (not only) Microsoft wanted to come up with such an application, it would have to contain only those games that are available in the App Store, which makes no sense. Other game streaming services have the same problem, which certainly doesn't need to be mentioned.

Complicated choice

It is absolutely obvious that both Apple and Google or Microsoft will always promote their services in their own way and offer cut-down versions of their applications for competing platforms. Fortunately, the situation has improved nowadays, so if you have a computer with Windows and an iPhone, or vice versa, a computer from Apple and an Android device, you can connect everything relatively conveniently via various cloud solutions. However, you will encounter it if you want to build a smart home, or buy a smart watch or Apple TV. Neither the Apple Watch nor the HomePod smart speaker or the Apple TV can be connected to products other than those from Apple. Someone could argue that these are just additions to the Apple ecosystem, and that it is unnecessary for Apple to make them available to the public. But if you look at any competing smart watch or household manufacturer, you will find that they fully adapt their products to all systems, which cannot be said about Apple.

Extension of programs to other systems

At the very beginning of this paragraph, I would like to strongly point out that this is not Apple's fault as such, on the other hand, I have to mention this fact here, as it is quite important when choosing any products. Despite the fact that developers often try to expand their applications to as many platforms as possible, you will find them very difficult in certain specific fields for Apple products. A typical example is, for example, healthcare, in which Apple's macOS does not quite fit. In some cases, of course, you can also encounter the Windows operating system, in any case, it is still nothing terrible. But as I said above, Apple will not just affect this - in this case, the developers have to take action.
