If you need to find out any information as quickly as possible, you basically have two options: ask the called person, or search for it. Since Google is by far the most popular search engine, people usually mention in a conversation that they want information "google". However, how do you behave when you don't want to use Google's search engine for reasons of privacy or mistrust of Google? In this article, we will show you some suitable alternatives that will replace or even surpass Google in most cases.
If I had to highlight the biggest advantage of the DuckDuckGo search engine, it is precisely the emphasis on user privacy, where, unlike Google, according to the company, the search engine does not track you across pages and does not collect information for the purpose of personalizing ads. Of course, it would be naive to think that the search engine does not collect any data about you, but from my own experience, using it will get rid of targeted ads for similar products that you have searched for or purchased in the past. As for the search results, they are very often similar to the ones you would get from Google, with the difference that sometimes the ones in English are displayed first. Of course, you can filter your search to see if you need images, videos, maps, and more.
Users of Microsoft services are certainly familiar with the Bing search engine, which is set as default in, for example, the Microsoft Edge browser. Like its other competitors, Bing offers filtering using images, news and more, and it is also possible to quickly display interesting places in the vicinity or reviews of the searched monument, for example. Unfortunately, it sometimes happens when using it that after searching for a Czech expression, it does not find relevant results. However, if you use it in English, there should be no problem.
