Ondrej Holzman Hockey fever is here. The World Ice Hockey Championship starts today in Prague and Ostrava, and all iPhone fans should not miss the official applications of the tournament. It will offer them a complete results and information service.
Look for the 2015 IIHF app in the App Store, which – as usual – will offer such convenience that there's no need to look elsewhere. On the main page you will find all the current results and, of course, all the necessary details for each match.
For each match, the application will show the place and time of the event, in which jerseys the individual selections can start, and about an hour before the match, also the lineups. As soon as the game starts, you will discover detailed statistics and videos of the most important moments should not be missing.
The resulting mobile app wouldn't work without notifications. You can set them as you need for each match. They can inform you about the start of the match, send a summary of each period, notify you of each goal or just the final result.
In addition, this year the developers have also taken advantage of the Notification Center feature in iOS 8, so IIHF 2015 can be added as a widget to instantly show you the results of that game day.
The tournament app also has its social dimension, where you can cheer each team and then announce it on social networks, and in addition to messages directly from the tournament organizers, you can also follow the social stream where you can find the most interesting posts about your favorite team or player.
We have only one complaint about the official application of this year's ice hockey championship, which is hosted by Prague and Ostrava - unfortunately, it still lacks support for larger iPhone six-screen displays, but fortunately, this does not bother you so much when using it. And if you couldn't wait for the hockey game, you can shorten the time in the arcade with Bob and Bobko.

Nice application, but the absence of a preview of the match spider bothers me. And what concerns the iPad version, the absence of landscape mode and the problem with loading match details.
Exactly... the app is pretty useless on the iPad. :) But it's great on the iPhone. The reporting of goals is also relatively fast... sometimes over 20 seconds, but sometimes within 2 seconds. :)
It's such a mess on the iPad mini that I don't even want to believe that this is a review for the same app. Yes, the hints of the mentioned options are there, but practically nothing works at all. It is simply unusable on my device.
Agreed, completely useless application on iPad mini.
