The upcoming 16″ MacBook Pro will probably be the most interesting computer that Apple will introduce this year, after the Mac Pro. This is indicated by new information that partially reveals its design and indicates the direction Cupertino will take in the development of its laptops.

According to server reports DigiTimes will offer the 16″ MacBook Pro ultra-thin frames around the display, thanks to which the notebook will have approximately the same dimensions as the current 15-inch variant. How Apple will deal with the FaceTime camera remains a question for now. However, it can be expected that the new product will replace the previous larger model and will thus be in Apple's range alongside the 13″ MacBook Pro.

However, there is also the assumption that the 16-inch variant will represent the flagship model and will therefore be offered separately for a specific group of customers. In that case, the current 15″ MacBook Pro would remain.

A larger display with a resolution of 3 x 072 pixels should be supplied by LG, according to several sources. The production of the notebook will then be taken care of by the Taiwanese company Quanta Computer, which should begin assembly in the near future. It is generally expected that Apple will introduce its 1″ MacBook Pro already in the fall – some sources are talking about September, others about October, while the second mentioned month seems more likely.

Apart from the new design, the novelty should boast of other specialties. It will undoubtedly be the most important brand new scissor type keyboard, which Apple will replace the previous keyboard with a butterfly mechanism, which, even after several revisions, did not get rid of the known problems regarding jamming or repeating keys.
