Thus, Apple should finally listen to the pleas of the Apple users themselves and bring a basic laptop to the market, but with a larger screen. People who prefer a larger display are out of luck so far. If they are interested in an Apple laptop, then they have to settle for the basic 13″ Air model, or pay (significantly) more for a 16″ MacBook Pro, the price of which starts at CZK 72.

The Cupertino giant is apparently planning to fill this gap in the menu soon. According to the latest information, with which the respected display analyst Ross Young has now come, the production of 15,5″ display panels for this device has already begun. So we should expect an official presentation very soon, quite possibly right on the occasion of the first spring keynote, which could take place in April 2023. And quite possibly the giant will hit the mark with this device.
What success awaits the 15″ MacBook Air?
Given the amount of speculation and leaks that talk about the imminent arrival of the 15″ MacBook Air, the question also arises as to how such a device will actually fare. There were already various concerns that the laptop would not end up like the iPhone 14 Plus. So let's quickly summarize his journey. Apple decided to launch the basic model in a larger body with the designation Plus, and this is because its former competitor in the form of the iPhone 12 and 13 mini did not pull much in sales. People simply aren't interested in small phones. The opposite was therefore offered as a natural answer – a basic model with a larger body and a larger battery. But even that burned out in sales and was literally overtaken by the Pro models, for which Apple users preferred to pay extra.

It is therefore not surprising that some fans express similar concerns in the case of the 15″ MacBook Air. But it is necessary to take into account a very fundamental difference. In this respect, we are not talking about phones. The situation in the case of laptops is diametrically different. With a bit of exaggeration, it could be said that the larger the display, the more space to work, which in the end can increase the overall productivity of the user. After all, this is precisely why enthusiasm is clearly building up on discussion forums and in discussions. Apple growers are impatiently waiting for the arrival of this device, which will finally fill the aforementioned gap in the apple menu. There are many users who are fine with the basic model for their work, but for them it is crucial to have a larger screen. In such a case, the acquisition of the Pro model makes absolutely no sense, especially financially. On the contrary, it is practically the opposite with the iPhone 14 Plus. Due to the increase in prices, it does not make sense for Apple users to pay extra for only a larger display, when they can practically reach for the Pro model, which offers significantly more - in the form of a better screen, a significantly better camera and higher performance.
What the 15″ Air will offer
In the end, there is also the question of what the 15″ MacBook Air actually boasts. Although there are requests for extensive changes among apple growers, we should rather not count on them. A much more likely variant is that it will be a completely ordinary entry-level laptop from Apple, which also boasts only a larger screen. In terms of design, it should therefore be based on the redesigned MacBook Air (2022). Other question marks hang over whether the device will get a brand new M3 chip.
