Apple EarPods, which every user gets with their new iPhone, are quite satisfactory, so most can get by with them, and some can't even praise them. Although we don't expect too much from EarPods, the headphones can still do quite a lot, which maybe not all of their owners realize. That is why in today's article we will summarize all the functions that Apple headphones offer.

I can say with certainty that almost all of you will already know the vast majority of tricks. But you might discover at least one feature that you didn't know about yet, although it might come in handy sometime. There are a total of 14 tricks and you can use them mainly when playing music or when talking on the phone.

Hudba

1. Start/pause a song
During music playback, you can use the headphones to pause or resume the song. Just press the middle button on the controller.

2. Skip to the upcoming track
But you can control much more. If you want to start playing the next song, then press the center button twice in quick succession.

3. Skip to the previous track or to the beginning of the currently playing track
If, on the other hand, you want to go back to the previous song, then press the middle button three times in quick succession. However, if the current track is played for more than 3 seconds, then triple-pressing will return to the beginning of the current track, and to skip to the previous track, you need to triple-press the button again.

4. Fast forward the track
If you want to fast forward the currently playing track, then press the middle button twice and hold the button the second time. The song will rewind as long as you hold the button, and the speed of the rewind will gradually increase.

5. Rewind the track
If, on the other hand, you want to rewind the song a bit, then press the middle button three times and hold it down the third time. Again, scrolling will work as long as you hold the button.

Phone

6. Accepting an incoming call
Is your phone ringing and you have your headphones on? Just press the center button to answer the call. EarPods have a microphone, so you can leave your iPhone in your pocket.

7. Rejecting an incoming call
If you do not want to accept an incoming call, just press the middle button and hold it for two seconds. This will reject the call.

8. Receiving a second call
If you are on a call and someone else starts calling you, just press the center button and the second call will be accepted. This will also put the first call on hold.

9. Rejection of second call
If you want to reject the second incoming call, just press and hold the middle button for two seconds.

10. Call switching
We will immediately follow up on the previous case. If you have two calls at the same time, you can use the middle button to switch between them. Just hold the button for two seconds.

11. Ending the second call
If you have two calls at the same time, where one is active and the other is on hold, then you can end the second call. Hold the middle button to execute.

12. Ending the call
If you have said everything you wanted to with the other party, then you can end the call through the headset. Just press the center button.

13. Activation of Siri
If Siri is your daily assistant and you want to use it even with headphones on, then just hold down the middle button at any time and the assistant will be activated. The condition, of course, is to have Siri activated in Settings -> Crab.

If you use the headphones with iPod shuffle or iPod nano, then you can use the VoiceOver function instead of Siri. It tells you the name of the currently playing song, artist, playlist and allows you to start playing another playlist. Hold down the center button until VoiceOver tells you the title and artist of the song that's playing and you hear a tone. Then release the button and VoiceOver will start listing all your playlists. When you hear the one you want to start playing, press the center button.

14. Taking a photograph
Almost every iPhone owner knows that it is also possible to take photos with the side buttons for volume control. It works the same way with headphones. So if you have them connected to your phone and you have the Camera application open, then you can use the buttons to increase or decrease the music, which are located on the controller on both sides of the center button, to take a photo. This trick is especially useful when taking selfies or "secret" photos.
