Smart watches from Apple are a product that I personally perceive as one of the most important. The Apple Watch is primarily used to monitor daily activity and fitness life, and secondarily it will serve great as an extended arm of the iPhone. This is a device that, given its size, can really do a lot - so here it is true that size does not matter. Therefore, in this article, we will take a look at 10 things you may not even know your Apple Watch can do. Let's get straight to the point.

Browsing websites

Of course, most of us view websites on an iPhone, iPad or Mac. But did you know that you can also view the website on Apple Watch? This can come in handy from time to time, for example if you have a long moment and don't have your iPhone with you. But of course, you would look for the Safari browser in vain in watchOS. The entire procedure is carried out through the Messages application and is not complicated. First, you need to get into a conversation in the app News sent link with website, which you want to open. For example, if you want to open Jablíčkář, you must copy the URL address from Safari on your iPhone in the browser https://jablickar.cz/. After copying, move to the application News and open conversation (feel free to own "with yourself"), to which link insert and a message send. Now move to the app on your Apple Watch News and open conversation, to which you sent the link. Then that's enough for him tap and it's done, you'll be on the web page.

Rearranging applications

If you want to move to the list of applications on the Apple Watch, you just need to press the digital crown. By default, applications are displayed in a grid that resembles a honeycomb - that's what this display mode is called in English, by the way. But for me personally, this display mode is completely chaotic and I have never been able to get the hang of it. Fortunately, Apple offers an option to switch the display to an alphabetical list. If you would like to switch the display of applications, go to Settings → Application view, where you choose List (or the Grid).

Fall detection

All Apple Watch Series 4 and later come with a feature called Fall Detection that can save your life. After activating this function, the apple watch can record a fall and call for help if necessary. But the truth is that Fall Detection must be activated manually, as it is only enabled by default for users who are over 65 years old. So your Apple Watch for activation light up a press the digital crown. Then move to the native app Settings, where you lose something below, until you hit the section SOS, which you click. Then click on the box here Fall detection and by using switches function activate. If the Apple Watch detects a fall after activating the fall detection, the watch will notify you with vibrations and the emergency screen will be displayed. On the screen afterwards, you have the option to mark that you are fine, or you can have help called. If you do nothing on the screen for one minute, help will be called automatically.

Warning of possible heart problems

In addition to the fact that the watch can detect a fall, it can also alert you to possible heart problems. In particular, you may see an irregular heart rhythm notification on your Apple Watch, which can indicate possible atrial fibrillation if detected frequently. In addition, you can also set a warning for a too fast or too slow heart rate, which will be displayed during inactivity for more than 10 minutes. To activate these functions, it is necessary to go to iPhone to the application Watch, where you move to the section my watch and then open the box Heart. Here activate Irregular Rhythm and click open Rapid heartbeat a Slow heartbeat, where you choose the values you want. In addition, on Apple Watch Series 4 and later (except SE), you can create ECG, and in the application of the same name.

Apple TV control

Are you an Apple TV owner? If so, you can use a controller to control it, which is relatively small compared to other controllers. It can happen without problems that it fits somewhere, or that it gets lost in a blanket or duvet. In this case, we often look for the controller for several minutes, accompanied by various obscene words. But few people know that you don't need a remote control to control Apple TV. You can get by with an iPhone, which is an old familiar, but also with an Apple Watch - just open the app on it Controller. If you don't see your TV here, go to Apple TV Settings → Drivers and devices → Remote application, where select Watch Apple. Will appear code, which after enter on Apple Watch. Immediately after that, you will be able to control the Apple TV with the Apple Watch.

Screenshots

We take screenshots on our iPhones, iPads or Macs practically every day. You can use them to quickly and easily share, for example, a message that caught your attention, or perhaps a new high score in a game - just think. You can still take screenshots on the Apple Watch, however by default this feature is disabled. If you would like to enable taking screenshots on your Apple Watch, go to Settings → General → Screenshots, where activate possibility Turn on screenshots. You can then take a screenshot on your watch by: at the same time you press the side button with the digital crown. The image is saved to Photos on the iPhone.

Music recognition

It's been a few years since Apple bought out Shazam. This app is for nothing more than song recognition. After the purchase by Apple, the Shazam application began to be improved in various ways, and currently even Siri can work with it, or you can add quick music recognition to the control center. Among other things, Apple Watch can also recognize music, which is useful if you don't have an iPhone with you, or if you can't find it, and you want to know the name of a song immediately. All you have to do is activate Siri, either by holding the digital crown or by using phrases Hey Siri, and then say What song is this? Siri will listen to the song for a while before responding to you.

View photos

The Apple Watch display is really small, so viewing photos like this on it is not quite ideal - but it can serve well as an emergency matter. You can store up to 500 photos in the Apple Watch memory, which can be opened anytime and anywhere after synchronization. However, such a large number of photos obviously takes up a lot of storage space, so if you have an older Apple Watch, you have to take that into account. By default, Apple Watch Photos shows 25 photos. If you would like to change this number, just go to iPhone to the application Watch, where you open the box Photos. Then click on it Photo limit a select the number of photos you want to display.

Creating minutes

You have been able to set a timer on the Apple Watch for a long time, which is useful, for example, if you want to take a nap or if you are cooking something. However, if you found yourself in a situation where you needed to set multiple minutes at once, you could not, as this option did not exist and only one minute could run at a time. But now this limitation is no longer enough, so to set multiple minutes, you just need to go to the application in the classic way minutes, where you can set them all up and control them.

Deactivating the automatic installation of applications

If you install an application on your iPhone, the version of which is also available for Apple Watch, this application will be automatically installed on your watch by default. You might think this feature is great at first, but you'll find that you only really use a few apps on your Apple Watch, and that most of them (especially those from third-party developers) are just taking up storage space. To disable automatic app installation, go to the app on your iPhone Watch, where in the bottom menu click on My watch. Then move to the section In general, where deactivate possibility Automatic installation of applications. To remove installed apps, swipe v My watch completely down, where specific open the application, and then deactivate View on Apple Watch.
