The Safari Internet browser is a widely used means of consuming a variety of media content on iPhones and iPads. Apple's browser is very fast and easy to use, but it is possible to be even more efficient in using it and make things easier than it might seem. That's why we present 10 tips on how to work as efficiently as possible in Safari in iOS 10.

Quick opening of a new panel

A long press on the "two squares" icon in the lower right corner, which is used to display all open panels, will bring up a menu where you can choose New panel. You can also hold down the button anyway Done, when you have the panels preview open.

Quickly close all open panels

When you need to close all open panels at once, just hold your finger on the icon with two squares again and select Close panels. The same again applies to the button Done.

Access recently deleted panels

After clicking the icon to open and scroll through the list of open panels, tap and hold the "+" symbol on the bottom bar.

Quickly scroll through the history of a specific site

Long press the "back" or "forward" arrows, which will bring up the browsing history in that panel.

"Paste and Search" and "Paste and Open" functions

Copy the selected part of the text and by holding your finger on the search field for a long time, select the option from the displayed menu Paste and search. The copied term will automatically be searched on Google or another default browser.

Copying URLs works on a similar principle. If you have a web address in your clipboard and hold your finger on the search field, an option will be offered Insert and open, which will open the link immediately.

Quickly display the search box while browsing a web page

When you are viewing a page and the controls disappear, you don't always have to click only on the top bar, but also anywhere at the bottom of the display, where the bar is otherwise located. It will then appear automatically, just like the search field at the top.

View the desktop version of the website

Long press the site refresh button (right arrow in the search bar) and select an option from the menu Full version of the site. Follow the same procedure to reactivate the mobile version of the site.

Searching for keywords on a specific web page

Click on the search box and start typing the desired term. Then go to the end of the interface and in the section on this page you will see how many times (if at all) your term appears on the selected web page.

Quick Search feature

Activate the quick search function in Settings > Safari > Quick Search. As soon as you use the search field of a specific website (not the browser), the system automatically remembers that you are searching the page and provides the possibility of a quick search directly from the search bar of the Safari browser.

To do this, it is enough to write the incomplete name of the website into the search engine and the required term that you want to find. For example, if you search for "wiki apple", Google will automatically search for the keyword "apple" only on Wikipedia.

Adding bookmarks, reading list and shared links

Hold your finger on the icon Bookmarks ("booklet") in the bottom bar and select the desired option from the menu: Add bookmark, Add to reading list or Add shared links.
