Although Safari cannot match Chrome, at least in terms of the number of extensions that Google's browser has in the Web Store, there are several hundred useful plugins for Safari that can expand functionality, increase productivity or simplify work with it. Therefore, we have selected for you the ten best extensions that you can install in Safari.
ClickToFlash
Thanks to Apple, the world has learned to dislike Adobe Flash technology, which is not very computer-friendly and can significantly slow down browsing or reduce battery life. Flash banners are especially annoying. ClickToFlash turns all flash elements on a page into gray blocks that need to be run with a mouse click. This also applies to flash videos. The extension also has a special mode for YouTube, where videos are played in a special HTML5 player, which cuts the player from unnecessary elements and advertisements. So it behaves similar to the web video player on iOS.

OmniKey
Chrome or even Opera have a great function that allows you to create your own search engines, where by entering a text shortcut you can start a search directly on the selected page. So when you write, for example, "csfd Avengers" in the search bar, it will immediately search for the film on the ČSFD website. Search engines must be created manually by entering the search query URL and replacing the keyword with the {search} constant. But once you've set up all the sites you frequently search on outside of Google, you won't want to use Safari any other way.

Ultimate Status Bar
It's always good to know where a link leads. Safari allows you to turn on the bottom bar that reveals the destination URL, but it remains displayed even if you don't need it. The Ultimate Status Bar solves this problem in a similar way to Chrome, with a bar that only appears and displays the URL when you hover the mouse over the link. What's more, it can also unlock the destination address hidden behind a shortener or reveal the file size in the link. And if you don't like the default look, it offers some nice themes that I can customize more to your taste.

Although it is more of an extension of the service of the same name, Pocket allows you to read articles from the web later. By clicking on the button in the bar, you save the URL of the article to this service, where you can then read it, for example, on an iPad in a dedicated application, in addition, Pocket trims all web elements to only text, images and video. The extension will also allow you to label articles when saving, and the option to save will also appear in the context menu when you click the blue button on any link.

Evernote Web Clipper
Far from just a note-taking service, Evernote allows you to store virtually any content and organize it through folders and tags. With Web Clipper, you can easily save articles or parts of them as notes to this service. For example, if you find an image or a piece of text on the web that you want to use in your blog post, or get inspired by it, this tool from Evernote will allow you to quickly save and sync it to your account.

Awesome Screenshot
Especially on smaller screens, it is not easy to print the entire page, especially if it is scrollable. Instead of composing individual screenshots in a graphics editor, Awesome Screenshot does the work for you. The extension will allow you to print the entire page or a selected part of it and download the resulting image or upload it online. It is a great tool, for example, for web designers who want to quickly show their work-in-progress pages to clients.

Safari Restore
Has it happened to you more than once that you accidentally closed the browser and then had to search for open pages for a long time in the history. Opera has an option to restore the last session on startup, and with Safari Restore, Apple's browser will also get this feature. It remembers which pages you were viewing when you closed the browser, including the order of the panels.

Turn off the lights
You can kill time watching videos on YouTube for a long time, but the surrounding elements of the portal are often annoyingly distracting. The Turn Off the Lights extension can darken the surroundings of the player to provide an uninterrupted experience when watching clips, whether you're watching footage from the Olympics or cat videos. You don't always want to watch the clips in full screen mode.

AdBlock
Internet advertising is everywhere, and some sites are not afraid to pay for half of their web space with advertising banners. AdBlock allows you to completely remove all annoying flashing ads from your site, including Google's AdWord and AdSense. However, keep in mind that for most websites, advertising is the only source of income for the people creating the content, so at least allow AdBlock to show ads on the sites you like to visit.

Markdown Here
If you love the Markdown syntax for writing, which makes it easy to write HTML tags in plain text, you'll love the Markdown Here extension. It will enable you to write emails in any web service in this way. Just use that syntax using asterisks, hashtags, brackets and other characters in the body of the e-mail, and it will automatically convert everything into formatted text when you press a button in the extension bar.

Thanks for the Awesome Screenshot tip
Thanks for the tips, Awesome Screenshot is perfect :) And I have AdBlock as a mandatory feature for quite a few years now :)
The ClickToFlash plugin still looked interesting, unfortunately I won't play any video with it on the stream (I only have a black screen), but maybe it would be enough to play with the settings.
So is Turn off The Lights. Great idea, but when the rest of the page goes dark and the video goes dark, the plugin isn't as usable as it could be.
Definitely YouTube Options

All kinds of YouTube settings, including the ability to download videos in different formats
Good article. I would like to ask, is it possible to set Safari to save only usernames and not passwords? It works in Chrome but I miss it in Safari. Thanks.
Isn't there something that allows me to download the file to where I choose? Safari saves it to "Downloads" by default.
Wouldn't it be enough to change the destination folder? Safari -> preferences -> general -> save downloaded file to…
It's a permanent change, but at least something.
it doesn't exactly meet your expectations, but with the help of Hazel, you can beautifully set rules for sorting files and folders..
Safari can open all windows from the last session at startup, no add-ons are needed for that.
I would like to ask if these extensions are reliable??? They tell me that I am downloading personal data, etc. Thanks for the answer
Gody-no safari doesn't know that, especially not enough! It will open windows and tabs, but not the content that was there!
I would say that one of the most useful add-ons is Glims, it can do more than one function and it modifies the search in a great way, so that after writing what you are looking for in the field, it rolls up the 10 closest answers. Also, when downloading files, it automatically creates a new folder in Downloads with the current date and saves everything there that day. Also, Cookies is a perfect add-on for managing cookies, it can automatically (after setting) delete unwanted ones and not delete necessary ones such as access to various web accounts, etc.
You have a link to the Cookies add-on

I don't know how it is now with the price, on the Leopard I have it is free as a Donation, otherwise it is apparently available for higher versions of the OS on the appstore. But Google should also find it.
I use Chrome. On a 27′ monitor, I have a problem with the size of letters and objects. Safari cannot make pages proportionally larger, and there is not even an adequate plugin for this. I've tried them all.
I would also add Ghostery https://www.ghostery.com/features
Please, what is the default video resolution in HTML5? and if it can be modified somehow.
in the settings you simply choose the size, everything from 240p to 4k is available
