TV+ offers original comedies, dramas, thrillers, documentaries and children's shows. However, unlike most other streaming services, the service no longer contains any additional catalog beyond its own creations. Other titles are available for purchase or rental here. In this article, we'll take a look at what's new in the service for January 14, 2022, when the much-anticipated Macbeth premieres.

Macbeth

Joel Coen's highly anticipated opus is available to stream from Friday 14th January. Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand star in a story of murder, madness, ambition and wicked cunning. The film has numerous ambitions to take various film awards literally by storm, not only with regard to acting, but also in the case of technical categories.

The Morning Show will get a 3rd season

The series was already the flagship of the platform when it debuted in 2019. Despite being replaced by the comedy Ted Lasso, it remains The Morning Show one of the most popular shows on Apple TV+. The first season premiered on November 1, 2019, and received many critical acclaims, with the professional work being awarded with numerous nominations for film awards. After a lengthy production delay due to the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic, the second series did not premiere until September 2021. However, the company has now confirmed that it will also third row.

Ted Lasso and another Golden Globe for Sudeikis

This is the second time Jason Sudeikis has been nominated and won a Golden Globe for Best Television Actor in a Musical/Comedy. And that, of course, thanks to his performance in the Ted Lasso series. It was also nominated for Best TV Series, but lost to the HBO Max original series Hacks. Apple Original films, documentaries and series have already received 184 awards and a total of 704 nominations, with Ted Lasso being the platform's most awarded original production ever. In addition, we are expected to see a third series at the end of this year.

The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey

We can look forward to the new six-part series from Friday, March 11. It is based on the bestseller of the same name by Walter Mosley and stars Samuel L. Jackson - as the titular Ptolemy Grey, of course. This is an elderly ailing man who has been forgotten by his entire family, his friends, and in fact, in the end, himself. He is therefore assigned to the care of orphaned teenager Robyn, played by Dominique Fishback. When they learn of a treatment that can restore Ptolemy's dementia-related memories, the journey begins to uncover shocking truths about his past, present, and ultimately future.
