TV+ offers original comedies, dramas, thrillers, documentaries and children's shows. However, unlike most other streaming services, the service no longer contains any additional catalog beyond its own creations. Other titles are available for purchase or rental here. In this article, we'll take a look at the trio of upcoming news for which Apple has just published trailers.

A letter to my idol

One person's story can change the world. This documentary by Emmy winner RJ Cutler features extraordinary personalities and the people whose lives they have inspired. Season 2 is set to premiere on March 4, and Apple has just released the first trailer for it. It will feature Andre Leon Talley, Viola Davis, Malala Yousafzai, Jane Fonda, Ava DuVernay, Billy Porter, Sandra Oh, Laird Hamilton, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey

We can look forward to the new six-part series from Friday, March 11. It is based on the bestseller of the same name by Walter Mosley and stars Samuel L. Jackson in the main role - as the title character, of course. This is an elderly ailing man who has been forgotten by his entire family, his friends, and in fact, in the end, himself. He is therefore assigned to the care of orphaned teenager Robyn, played by Dominique Fishback. When they learn of a treatment that can restore Ptolemy's dementia-related memories, the journey begins to uncover shocking truths about his past, present, and ultimately future. Now you can also watch the published trailer.

Shining girls

Apple is preparing an eight-part thriller series Shining Girls, which will be unique in its directorial composition. Michelle MacLaren, Daina Reed and the star of the series The Handmaid's Tale Elisabeth Moss, who you may also know from the new concept of the classic thriller The Man Without a Shadow, will take the director's chair. However, she has already directed several episodes of the just-mentioned series, in which she plays the main role. Shining Girls is then a "metaphysical" thriller that follows the main character in the midst of her dark depression who discovers the key to time travel with the help of a mysterious portal. However, in order to pass through it, he must make a sacrifice in the form of murdering a woman. The premiere date is set for April 29, and you can check out the first official teaser below.
