Purely platonic
The 10-episode comedy series will premiere on the platform on May 24, and will star Physical's Rose Byrne and popular Seth Rogen. Each episode will be around half an hour long and the first three episodes will be released on the day of the premiere, the others will be released a bit unconventionally every Wednesday. The central duo here play former best friends who once had a falling out and now, on the brink of middle age, renew their purely platonic relationship. The Wicked Sisters and The Essex Monster are both BAFTA-winning
Apple's production received a total of 15 nominations for the British series awards BAFTA, when those in the technical categories already know their winners. For the costumes, they were won by Jane Petrie for The Monster from Essex (which won, for example, the Crown of Netflix). Peter Anderson for the best subtitles and graphic design in the case of the black comedy Bad Sister, which was nominated a total of five times.
