The popularity of streaming platforms has grown significantly in recent years. It is therefore not surprising that Apple also entered this segment and, in addition to the traditional Apple Music service for music streaming, came up with its own alternative to the popular Netflix in the form of  TV+. However, the Cupertino company opted for a slightly different approach in this regard. Rather than trying to come up with the same model that other streaming platforms rely on, Apple decided to go completely in-house. While you can find a number of legendary films and series on Netflix or HBO Max, within  TV+ you will find original films that you cannot find anywhere else.

For this reason, the offer of the apple platform is significantly more limited. In terms of quality, however, Apple is at the top - for a number of its programs it has won the most valuable award in the form of Oscars, or one of the best series Ted Lasso is also worth mentioning. It certainly does not lack quality. However, in terms of the number of subscribers, it is far behind its competition. It could therefore be said that the company is still looking for its service. And from the looks of it, we probably already know what direction Apple wants to take.

 TV+ as a premium sports platform

As we mentioned above, original content awaits you within the apple platform. Although Apple can be proud of its high quality, for which the company has won a number of prestigious awards, this is precisely one of the reasons why some fans prefer to subscribe to competing services - in short, older and well-known movies and series are key for them, which Apple cannot offer. However, the Cupertino giant began to dabble in the field of sports earlier, starting with acquiring the rights to broadcast sports broadcasts of the American national baseball competition. However, the company does not end there. It didn't take long before the beloved (European) football in the form of the highest Canadian-American league MSL headed to  TV+.

Officially, within  TV+, not only original films and series await you, but also a significant load of sports. In addition, if we look at the available leaks and speculations, then it also looks like we definitely have a lot to look forward to. Apple is currently considering a significant expansion of the sports side of its platform. The game involves the purchase of rights for the Champions League, Premier League, NBA basketball and the like. According to that, it looks like Apple has a fairly solid foothold.

As we mentioned above, many people prefer well-known streaming services because of older images. And it is in this respect that Apple is not exactly in a good position. For this reason, it makes the most sense to focus on sports. Sport literally moves the whole world. In addition, the Cupertino company has a fairly solid foothold. If it also manages to get the most popular world competitions or even the mentioned Champions League on  TV+, then it will earn an unrivaled place as a premium sports platform that will have absolutely no competition in its field. There are not many such global services. If a company of such dimensions as Apple covered it all, then sports fans around the world would have a harvest. They would have a verified and respected service at their fingertips, where the most interesting matches would be waiting for them. It is in this direction that the future of  TV+ as such may lie.
