Gordon Bell, one of the pioneers of computer technology, was born on August 19, 1934. Gordon Bell (full name Chester Gordon Bell) worked at Digital Equipment Corporation from 1960 to 1966. He studied electrical engineering at MIT, in addition to the aforementioned Digital Equipment Corporation, he also worked in the research division of Microsoft. Bell is also considered one of the most respected authorities in the field of supercomputers. He also has numerous publications to his credit and has won a national medal and other awards for his work in the field of technology.

The Sobig.F virus appeared (2003)

On August 19, 2003, a computer virus named Sobig.F was discovered. Just twenty-four hours later, he managed to disable a number of networks. It spread mainly through e-mail messages with subject lines such as “Re: Approved,” “Re: Details,” “Re: Re: My details,” “Re: Thank you!,” “Re: That movie, ” “Re: Wicked screensaver,” “Re: Your application,” “Thank you!,” or “Your details.” In the body of the message were the sentences "See attached file for details" or "Please see the attached file for details". The attached file was in PIF or SCR format.
