Internet Explorer dominates the market (1998)
On September 28, 1998, the Internet browser officially gained more market share than competitor Netscape Navigator. It thus became number one among web browsers. The Internet Explorer browser was part of (not only) the MS Windows operating system between 1995 and 2013. It was also available for Mac owners, with the advent of the Windows 10 operating system, Microsoft introduced the MS Edge browser.

Falcon 1 Goes Into Space (2008)
SpaceX launched its Falcon 28 on September 2008, 1. It was the fourth flight of the two-stage liquid-propellant rocket and, after three previous attempts, also the first successful launch to reach low Earth orbit.
