Popular and very useful native applications that you can use not only on smart mobile devices from Apple include Reminders. With native Reminders, you can create, share, and collaborate on all kinds of to-do lists. In today's column about interesting shortcuts for iOS, we will introduce Reminder Details - a shortcut that can make working with native Reminders on your iPhone more pleasant and easier.

One of the great advantages of native Reminders is the rich possibilities of adding content - you can add all kinds of links to websites, but also images or nested subtasks to individual tasks. A shortcut called Reminder Details can “extract” details such as photos, URL addresses or the just mentioned nested reminders from your selected reminders. The shortcut works quickly and reliably, but it is necessary to know the exact name of the reminder for which you need to find out the mentioned details. After running the shortcut, you enter the name of the reminder, and then from the menu that appears, you select the action to be performed within the shortcut. So, without having to open the Reminders application as such, you can open a specific reminder, and then extract a link, image from it, or display nested tasks.

To successfully install the Reminder Details shortcut, you need to open the link at the bottom of the article in Safari on the iPhone you want to use the shortcut on. It is also necessary to enable the use of untrusted shortcuts in Settings -> Shortcuts, and for the shortcut as such it is of course also necessary to allow its access to the native Reminders on your iPhone, or to the Calendar.
