Apple has always cared a little more about the privacy of its customers than competing companies. It is absolutely the same with data collection, when for example Google collects practically everything you can think of (or not) and Apple does not. Already in the past, the Californian giant has come up with various options with which you can strengthen the security of your privacy. In the last major update, Safari, for example, came with a function that can block trackers of the websites you are on. Great news has now also arrived within the App Store.

If you currently decide to download an application from the App Store, you can easily see which data and, if applicable, which services a certain application has access to. All this information must be truthfully stated by the developers, for absolutely all applications, without exception. In this way, you can easily find out which developers have a clear conscience and which ones are not. Until recently, it was not clearly clear what all the applications have access to - after launching the applications, you could only choose whether the application will have access to, for example, your location, microphone, camera, etc. Now you can find out about all the security information before before you download an app. On the one hand, this will strengthen your privacy, and on the other hand, you will not have to search for additional information on the Internet.

How to easily find out what data apps in the App Store have access to

  • Once you do, you are look for tu application, about which you want to display the aforementioned information.
  • After searching you application profile classical click open like you want to download it.

In any case, there may now be applications in the App Store for which you will unfortunately not find this information. Developers are obliged to include all this data in the next update of their applications. Some developers, for example Google, have not updated their applications for several weeks so that they do not have to provide this data, which speaks for itself. In any case, Google will not avoid updating its applications and will have to provide all the information sooner or later. Of course, Apple is adamant about this, so there is no danger that Google would somehow come to an agreement with the apple company - even for ordinary users, it would be suspicious. This whole regulation, which makes the App Store a much safer place, came into force on December 8, 2020. Above in the gallery, you can see what Facebook, for example, has access to - the list is really long.
