Unfortunately, nuclear tensions between the powers are heating up again due to current events. However, the world experienced the most dangerous situation during the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. Fortunately, however, international relations at freezing point never turned into open conflict. However, our planet is not so lucky in the DEFCON game. In the video game, inspired by the movie War Games, you will fight a real nuclear war.

DEFCON by Introversion Software puts you in the seat of a general of one of the world's great powers. In the military bunker, you will then control the direction of your nuclear arsenal on enemy territory. In addition to wiping out your opponents, however, you must also keep an eye on your population and thus tactically find a balance between attacking civilian targets and attacking the enemy's arsenal itself. You control all this only on the big screen, which shows you the world map, strategic objectives and the paths of the launched missiles.

Even in a world in nuclear conflict, however, new alliances can still be made. Even with atomic bombs flying over your heads, you will not rest from haggling and forming alliances. However, these are extremely fragile and can fall apart in an instant. In addition, former allies always become the most dangerous enemies.
