The Apple Card credit card from Apple is gradually starting to reach its first owners. Users overseas also got their hands on its physical variant. These days, Apple has published tips regarding the care of the card - unlike ordinary credit cards, it is made of titanium, which brings with it some limitations.

A tutorial titled "How to Clean an Apple Card" that Apple published this week on its website, describes the cleaning steps users should take if they want their card to retain its original, impressive appearance for as long as possible.

In case of contamination, Apple recommends gently cleaning the card with a soft, slightly moistened microfiber cloth. As a second step, he advises that cardholders can gently dampen a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and wipe the card again. It is not recommended to use common household cleaners such as sprays, solutions, compressed air or abrasives, which could damage the card's surface, to clean the card.

Users should also pay attention to the material with which they will wipe the card - Apple states that leather or denim can have an adverse effect on the color of the card and damage the layers with which the card is provided. Apple Card owners should also protect their card from contact with hard surfaces and materials.

Apple recommends that Apple Card owners carry their card well hidden in a wallet or soft bag, where it will be carefully protected from contact with other cards or other objects. Avoiding magnets that could disrupt the functionality of the strip on the card is a matter of course.

In case of damage, loss or theft, users can request a duplicate directly in the Apple Card settings menu in the native Wallet application on their iOS device.

Those interested could apply for an Apple Card not long after Apple gave select customers early access to the service. You can pay with the Apple Card not only in its physical form, but also, of course, via the Apple Pay service.
