Apple's products are not generally considered to be cheap - and it is not necessarily just the iMac Pro in the highest configuration or the trio of the latest iPhones. The prices of older Apple devices in various auctions can often climb to dizzying heights. In most cases, the older (and more well-preserved) the product is, the more expensive it will be sold. How was the extremely well-maintained Apple-1 computer that originally cost $666,66 at the time of release?

A total of two hundred original models of the Apple-1 computer assembled and sold by both Steves came into the world. Of these two hundred, only 60-70 pieces are said to have survived. One of them was recently sold at auction for 375 thousand dollars (approximately 8,3 million crowns), while the estimated final price was between 300 and 600 thousand dollars. According to the Boston auction house, it was a completely untouched model, that is, a computer that has not been modified in any way or undergone any repair using non-original components.

The computer was restored to its original, working condition in June 2018 by Apple-1 expert Corey Cohen. Full functionality is one of the most remarkable features of the recently auctioned model. No interventions were made on its motherboard. According to Bobby Livingston of RR Auction, everyone was delighted with the price achieved.

Two other Apple memorabilia were also sold at the same auction: a Macintosh Plus signed by Steve Jobs and nine other members of the Macintosh team, and an Apple annual report - also signed by Steve Jobs. The Macintosh Plus was auctioned for $28, and the report for $750.
