One of the main characters of the film Jobs, which hits theaters in August, stars Steve Wozniak alongside Steve Jobs. He has already commented infamously on the film several times, but now he has declared that the film in advance Jobs certainly not condemning. However, he wants the picture to reflect reality...

Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, commented on the film back in January, when he declared, that after reading the script he gave from Jobs hands off. Now, however, he put everything into perspective and said that a priori he will not hate the new film. He wonders what kind Jobs it will, and will accept it, as long as it is entertaining and thought provoking and captures exactly what was going on in the early days of the apple company.

But that is what Wozniak fears the most. According to him Jobs it may not show the situation as it really was. "Something tells me that the movie will profile Steve as a saint who was ignored rather than as one of the key men who led Apple from failure to failure (Apple III, Lisa, Macintosh) while the revenue came from the Apple II, which Jobs tried to destroy. It's nice to have the chance to fail. The entry-level Macintosh market was created with the help of some people Jobs despised in the three years after Steve left." explains Wozniak.

Jobs' old colleague adds that after his return, Jobs created several products as great as the Apple II - the iTunes Store, the iPod, the iPhone or the iPad - but at that moment he was already a different Steve Jobs. "He was a different person, more experienced, more thoughtful, and more qualified to lead Apple," recalls Wozniak. "I feel like in the early years, this later Jobs would be a really good fit for us."

Wozniak also commented on the first official trailer, which was released last week. He was not enthusiastic about the first clip he saw at the beginning of the year. “I was happy with the way the film showed me, unlike the first previews. However, other characters like Sculley or Markkula are portrayed too negatively. But really, they both had the same high ideals about where computers could take us as Steve.'

In the end, however, even Wozniak prefers to wait until he sees the entire film in person before uttering his final words. “I accept a lot of artistic interpretation if it's for the sake of entertainment and inspiration, but the meaning of the scenes has to correspond to reality. I can't judge something I haven't seen yet." added Wozniak.
