Microsoft introduced a brand new application called Office. It will be an application that will bring the functionality of Word, Excel and PowerPoint to users in one single software tool. The goal of the application is to make it easier for users to work with documents, improve productivity and, last but not least, also save storage space.

The Office application will offer users all the tools needed to effectively work with documents on a mobile device. By merging Word, Excel and PowerPoint into one single application, Microsoft wants to allow users to have all relevant documents in one place and save them from having to switch between individual applications. In addition, Office will also have new features, many of which will work with the camera.

It will be possible, for example, to take a photo of a printed document and then convert it into digital form. The smartphone camera in the new Office application will also be used to scan QR codes, for example, and it will be possible to easily and quickly convert photos from the photo gallery into a PowerPoint presentation. The application will also offer actions such as the ability to sign a PDF document with your finger or transfer files.

For now, Office is only available as part of testing in TestFlight, and only for the first 10 thousand users. After logging into their Microsoft account, they can try working in the application with documents stored in the cloud. The Office application will initially be available only in the version for smartphones, but the version for tablets is said to be coming soon.
