New operating system for Apple Watch Watch 6 brings a lot of changes that are primarily focused on making the watch independent from the iPhone. Starting with a new dedicated app store, through reduced app dependency on the parent iPhone. The next step forward is better management of native applications, which will also be more independent.

In watchOS 6, Apple will bring the ability to delete default system applications that have been in watchOS since the first version and the user could not do anything with them, even if he did not want or need them on his watch. Gradually, more and more system applications were added, which eventually filled the grid on the Apple Watch home screen.

Six more applications will be added to watchOS - App Store, Audiobooks, Calculator, Cycle computer, Voice recorder and an application for measuring the level of ambient noise. However, this should not be too much of a problem, as it will be possible for the first time to delete unused system applications.

Not using the Breathing app? Or have you never been excited about the Walkie-talkie app? With the arrival of watchOS 6, it will be possible to delete unnecessary applications in the same way as they are deleted in iOS. You can delete practically anything that is not strictly necessary for the watch to function (such as Messages or heart rate monitoring). Deleted apps will be re-downloadable from the new Watch App Store.

Thanks to the deletion option, users will finally be able to customize the grid on the home screen to their liking. Users will no longer have to worry about a multitude of system applications that they never use and just take up space on the Apple Watch screen. This new feature is not yet in the current beta, but it should appear in the upcoming versions.
