In the new watchOS 5.2.1 update, Apple not only made ECG available to the Czech Republic, but also fixed some bugs and added a new watch face. The LGBT community will especially like it.

The first rainbow watch face was presented by Cupertino last year as part of the developer conference WWDC 2018. Of course, the watch face was also complemented by an appropriately colored strap. Apple did not hesitate this year and now brings the second generation of the apparently popular watch face.

The novelty is part of watchOS 5.2.1 and will appear in the menu only after the update. At the same time, the name of the first generation will also change, which now bears the number 2018, while the current one is 2019.

However, apart from the name change, nothing happened to the original dial. It's still colored strips with black spaces. After tapping the display, it will wave in different ways. The same effect is shown after raising the wrist and lighting up the display.

The new 2019 version comes with a redesigned design. At first glance, there are already many more stripes, and each thread then folds into one color. Together, they form the rainbow flag again, which is the symbol of the LGBT community. It once again ripples to the touch just like the previous generation.

However, it seems that the new watch face will especially stand out on the Apple Watch Series 4. Thanks to the smaller and thinner edges of this watch, the entire watch face appears optically larger and fills the screen better.

A dial in support of the LGBT community

Currently, no new strap has been released. On the other hand, Apple released several variants of the original rainbow strap. It was available to internal employees in different ways and to the public in different ways. Third-party manufacturers have also caught on to LGBT themes and also offer their own straps.

There is speculation that this year, instead of the woven strap, a sporty Velcro version could come. Allegedly, the design of the current 2019 version, focused on stripes and imitation of fibers, also hints at this. Apple has also organized a fundraiser in the past to support the LGBT community, with part of the profits from the sales of themed straps going to it.

In addition to the rainbow dial, the one bearing the name Explorer has also been fixed, but it is tied to watches with LTE support. Unfortunately, you cannot activate it on watches bought in the Czech Republic.
