This year's main operating system update in the form of iOS 13 will bring a number of unspecified changes. A new batch of emoticons is among the certainties we can count on 200%. This year should bring more than XNUMX new cartoon emoji, the final list of which was recently officially approved by the Unicode Consortium.

Emojipedia server published a complete list of all this year's emojis - among them, for example, a flamingo, an otter, a waffle, a sloth, but also a white heart symbol, an ice cube, an orangutan or a falafel. The new emojis will also depict individuals with various handicaps – among them, for example, a wheelchair user, the deaf, but we will also see a guide or assistance dog emoticon. Apple will also include racially mixed couples in the series of new emojis. In total, we can look forward to 59 new characters in 75 gender variants. The number of new emojis will be a total of 230 in a variety of genders and skin tones.

After the emoticons are approved by the relevant consortium, smartphone manufacturers, social network operators and others can start implementing the new characters, but first the new icons need to be designed. The emoticons, published on the Emojipedia website, are only intended to represent the appearance of the new characters, but do not in any way reflect Apple's final design.

It will take some time for the company to fully implement the new emoticons. Last year, for example, new emojis did not appear until October's iOS 12.1.
