On Monday, November 22, Apple released an update to its mobile iOS, namely iOS 4.2.1 (article here). Only a few days have passed since this date and speculations are already rife that another update will be released on December 13 – iOS 4.3.
So the question arises, why Apple released iOS 4.2.1 and in three weeks from this date wants to release another update for ordinary users? Is there something wrong with the current version? Still unable to fix some of the flaws that delayed iOS 4.2.1? Or does Steve Jobs just want to block more security holes on which the new jailbreak will be built?
Every user will surely ask himself several similar questions. However, only a select few Apple employees know the answers to them. And they certainly won't publish them officially. Therefore, we can only wait to see what other information will surface.
Another speculation revolves around the date of the next Apple event, which is supposed to be held on December 9. iOS 4.3 is likely to be introduced and released next Monday, December 13th.
iOS 4.3 is said to bring iTunes prepaid services. These should pave the way for the planned diary News Corp for iPad. Further improvements should concern the expansion of support for the AirPrint service, especially with regard to older printer models.
We will find out how it all turns out in about three weeks. We can then evaluate which predictions have come true. However, the fact remains that if these speculations come true, it will certainly surprise many Apple fans. We are really not used to the apple company planning an update that has not even passed a month since the previous version.

Well, if I release it, I think it will clearly depend on when I release the GM version, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to the suppression of JB and the unlock.
So, as far as I know, unlock is already suppressed in 4.2.1 :/ it checks the BB version :/
I wanted to ask. OS 4.2 added support in Safari to search on a page. Does this only apply to the Ipad version or also to the iPhone? I couldn't find it anywhere on the Iphone.
ad search - also works on the iPhone. It is necessary to click where there is a shelf for searching on the website, enter the search term and scroll down to the bottom of the results from the website - there will be results from that page, then click and it will be displayed directly in Safari
I actually think that the final XCode4 will be released, because it's already release5... and it's about time...
Well, I think that these are definitely steps to suppress JB and unlock, since I recently bought a blocked iPhone 4 with fw 4.1. Murphy's laws work perfectly for me.
Today I wanted to sync Voice memos from an iPhone 3GS (iOS 4.2.1) to iTunes 10.1 and I'm having a problem that the entries don't even show up in the left column under the iPhone item, so they don't even sync to the iTunes (Music) library. Do you have the same problem or can you advise me how to fix it? I used to be fine with this. Thanks for the tips.
You can only send the recording directly from the iPhone application (MMS or email), but there is a limited recording length.
Hello everyone, I can't do one thing after the update. When I add a contact to the phone and fill in only the "Company" item in terms of naming - numbers, emails don't matter and I synchronize, the contact does not appear in the address book. It's possible that it didn't work before because I haven't used it before, anyway, interesting insight - someone please try it too.. And the promised SMS tones are nowhere is it because I have 3G??? Thanks in advance for your replies..
This is most likely due to the fact that you have an iPhone 3G, where the next iOS updates bring almost nothing new. Unfortunately.
On 3G (with multitasking enabled), URL links in Mail do not work (they do not jump to Safari), sometimes when switching applications the screen goes black and the wheel spins and then it returns to the locked state. Searching on the page in Safari doesn't work for me either (I don't mind that - I use iCab).
It may be caused by the multitasking - then it didn't bother me so much to solve it. If the alarm clock had worked properly in 4.1, I wouldn't have had to upgrade and I would probably go back.
Bullshit, bullshit, what the hell did that say? It's now 14.12 and the jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1 is only tethered and you're talking about preventing a jailbreak? What do you actually know about it? You write instructions for Redsn0w, but maybe every d*m*nt can click on I gree and next, so I nwm, but you move between such d*m*nts? And anyone who can't work with Redsn0w without instructions is neither an iPhone / iPad nor a jailbreak for them. And did you see the mess that Samsung released? Galaxy Tab (copy of iPad) and that's a bit long, but Wawe (copy of iPhone in iOS.)
