The arrival of the anticipated mobile game Diablo Immortal from the developer studio Blizzard Entertainment is practically around the corner. Blizzard recently announced that the title will be officially released on June 2, 2022, when it will be available for iOS and Android platforms. But before we wait for the actual launch, let's talk about what we actually know about this game. Since Diablo Immortal has already gone through a total of three test phases, we have a fairly good view of what actually awaits us.

Diablo Immortal

Diablo Immortal is a top-down RPG title just like the classic Diablo, which is primarily designed for mobile phones with iOS and Android operating systems. However, the developers also revealed that the desktop version will also start testing on the launch day. As soon as it is subsequently launched, cross-platform gameplay will also be available, meaning that we will be able to play with friends who play on the desktop and vice versa through the phone. In the same way, we will be able to play on both platforms ourselves - for a while on the phone and then continue on the PC. As for the chronological setting of the story, it will take place between the Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 games.

Game progress and options

Another rather important piece of information is that it will be a so-called free-to-play game, which will be available for free. On the other hand, game microtransactions are related to this. With these you will be able to facilitate your progress through the game, purchase a gamepass and a number of cosmetic accessories. According to the available information, however, the darkest fears will not come true - despite the presence of microtransactions, you will be able to find (almost) everything by simply playing. It will only take more time. As far as the gameplay is concerned, the game is primarily intended for multiplayer, in some cases it is even directly necessary (raids and dungeons), when you have to connect with others and overcome various obstacles together. But you can also enjoy a lot of the content so-called solo.

Diablo Immortal

Of course, the important part you'll encounter when you first start up is creating your hero character. At the beginning, there will be six options or classes to choose from. Specifically, we know about the Crusader, Monk, Demon Hunter, Necromancer, Wizard, and Barbarian class. Based on your play style and preferences, you can choose the class that suits you best. At the same time, Blizzard confirmed the arrival of others. In theory these could be Amazon, Druid, Assassin, Rogue, Witch Doctor, Bard and Paladin. However, we'll have to wait for those some Friday.

Story and gameplay

From the point of view of gameplay, it is appropriate to ask how the game is doing with the story and the so-called end-game content. By gradually playing, you will complete various challenges, gain experience points and constantly improve your character. At the same time, you become stronger and dare to take on significantly more threatening enemies or tasks. Subsequently, you will then reach the end-game stage, which will be prepared for players at high levels. Of course, there will be other ways to have fun outside of the story, both PvE and PvP.

PlayStation 4: DualShock 4

In the end, the support for game controllers can still please. From the latest beta testing, we know that the gamepad can be used to control your character and all movement in the game, but unfortunately this is no longer the case for controlling menus, settings, equipping and similar activities. However, this can of course change. Among the tested a officially supported gamepads are Sony DualShock 4, Xbox Wireless Bluetooth Controller, Xbox Series X/S Wireless Controller, Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller and Razer Kishi. You can also count on the support of others. However, these have not been officially tested.

Minimal requirements

Now to the most important thing or what are the minimum requirements to play Diablo Immortal. In the case of phones with the Android operating system, it's a little more complicated. In that case, you need a phone with a Snapdragon 670/Exynos 8895 CPU (or better), an Adreno 615/Mali-G71 MP20 GPU (or better), at least 2 GB of RAM and an Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system or later. For the iOS version, you can get by with iPhone 8 and any newer model running iOS 12.
