If you watched the Apple Keynote the day before yesterday, you will probably agree when I say that it was one of the most charged conferences in recent years. If you use Apple devices primarily for professional work purposes, then a Mac or MacBook is certainly a much more interesting product for you than, for example, an iPhone. Although it can handle many things, it simply does not have a computer, just like the iPad. And it was at the last Apple Keynote that we saw the presentation of the new MacBook Pros, specifically the 14″ and 16″ models, which have received truly heavenly improvements compared to Apple phones. However, this was only the icing on the cake, because before the introduction of new portable computers, Apple came up with other innovations.

In addition to the new third-generation AirPods or HomePod mini in new colors, we were also informed that we will see a new type of subscription within Apple Music. This new subscription has a name Voice plan and the apple company values it at $4.99 per month. Some of you may not have noticed what Voice Plan can actually do, or why you should even subscribe to it, so let's set the record straight. If a Voice Plan user subscribes, he gets access to all music content, just like in the case of a classic subscription, which costs twice as much. But the difference is that he will be able to play songs only through Siri, i.e. without a graphical interface in the Music application.

If the individual in question wants to play a song, album or artist, he will have to ask Siri for this action via a voice command on the iPhone, iPad, HomePod mini or using AirPods or within CarPlay. And if you're wondering how to activate this subscription, the answer is again absolutely clear - with your voice, i.e. through Siri. Specifically, it is enough for the user to say the command "Hey Siri, start my Apple Music Voice trial". Anyway, there's also an option to activate right inside the Music app. If the user confirms the Voice Plan subscription, he will of course continue to be able to use all the options for controlling music playback, or he will be able to skip songs in various ways, etc. The only thing is that for half the price, the person in question will lose the complete graphical interface of the Apple Music subscription... which is quite a major loss, which is probably not worth the price of two coffees.

Personally, I am trying to figure out who would voluntarily start using the Voice Plan. I often find myself in a situation where it just takes me a while to find the music I want to listen to. Thanks to the graphical interface, I can find the music that comes to mind in a few seconds even on the go, and I can't imagine having to ask Siri every time for any change. I find it extremely uncomfortable and pointless - but of course it is 17% clear that the Voice Plan will find its customers, after all, like every product or service from Apple. Anyway, the good (or bad?) news is that the Voice Plan is not available in the Czech Republic. On the one hand, this is due to the fact that we still do not have Czech Siri available, and on the other hand, because the HomePod mini is not officially sold in our country. Specifically, the Voice Plan is only available in XNUMX countries around the world, namely Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, the United kingdom and United States of America.
