Are you wondering how to protect your iPhone from scratches without degrading its unique design, which is inherent to Apple products? It is said that the founders of the VIVID company asked themselves the same question and came up with their own solution, which is worth mentioning. Their iPhone case combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology and brings a result that is extraordinary in any case.
iPhone is not just a phone. You must have fallen in love with its great design. Clean, simple and elegant. And its packaging should be the same. Isn't it a shame to hide it in low quality plastic covers? The VIVID Space cover offers the opportunity to stand out.
These are the words on the manufacturer's website. The VIVID Space is a case that really stands out from the rest. It is made of genuine leather in a traditional Czech workshop with an 80-year tradition. As already discussed, traditional craftsmanship is combined with modern technology in the case. This is called AirHold and it is a special mechanism that allows the phone to be attached to the case without magnets or gluing. When the iPhone is pressed against the pad, it "snuggles" with the resulting negative pressure and holds.
As for the material, the case feels really good in the hand. The leather is pleasant and you can see that it is honest handwork. The skin of the cover has a rougher, irregular appearance around the edges, and the hand stitching with white thread, which adds to the attractiveness of the cover, also looks authentic. Already during testing, the leather began to take on a typical patina and gained in beauty as tiny wrinkles gradually formed on it.
The design of VIVID Space is primarily practical, so the flip-up case can also be used as a wallet. Two card pockets and a larger banknote pocket are included. The pockets are quite spacious, so you can carry everything important in a single leather accessory.
On the other hand, it should be taken into account that your phone will increase in volume considerably. In a case from VIVID, the iPhone will be an object that fits more in the inside pocket of an executive jacket than in the small pocket of the tight pants of a teenage hipster. However, this applies not only because of the dimensions. In short, the case gives the impression of a formal accessory for a serious man of at least middle age. That's not a complaint, just a statement.
However, the thing that makes the case stand out is that it makes it very uncomfortable to use. The cover is kind of shapeless and doesn't allow you to hold the phone completely comfortably. The edges of the skin extend significantly beyond the edges of the phone. Typing on the software keyboard is then a real nightmare, because it is practically impossible to write with one hand on the iPhone 6, and the open case prevents trouble-free access for the other hand.
The entire mat is made up of miniature suction cups. When the phone is pressed against the pad, a negative pressure is created and the phone holds perfectly. No glue. No trace on your beloved device. Do you want to remove the iPhone from the pad? As you like, you just need to take the iPhone apart. And how to attach it again? Simple, just press the iPhone on the pad in the case for a second.
The phone mount works really perfectly. It holds the phone in the case like a nail and doesn't even move. You will soon find out that you don't have to worry about your pet. You will confirm this even after you take the iPhone out of the case. You will find that nothing sticks to the back and the phone rests on the pad without any friction, so they don't rub. In addition, the adhesion of the surface did not decrease even after longer testing and many dozens of attaching and removing the phone.
The packaging is offered in four color variants. You can purchase VIVID Space in light brown, red, blue or black, while the packaging is always stitched with white thread. The nice thing is that there is a version for iPhone 6/6s available, iPhone 5 / 5s i the new iPhone SE. The price of the case is determined uniformly to 1 crowns.
It is therefore not the cheapest case, but if we take into account that it is handmade by Czech craftsmen, premium Italian cowhide (leather) and the unique technology of attaching the iPhone, the price is not exorbitant at all. For example, an "ordinary" leather case from Apple costs almost 1300 crowns, so the difference is minimal.
How well he holds it. What I'm concerned about is if my phone falls, does the iPhone stay in the case or does it still get hit on the edge. Too bad there isn't a photo of the "suckers". Or I'm blind
I found pictures of that technology here. You have to go down, it's photographed there. http://bevivid.cz/produkt/vivid-space-iphone-6-6s/
Yeah, I'm thinking too - why the hell isn't there a photo of what I'm sure everyone is interested in on that case?
Unfortunately, the article lacks a photo of the sticky spot, and on the manufacturer's website this spot is out of focus (focused elsewhere), so we can only imagine what it looks like. However, I definitely don't feel that these are any suction cups. I would rather bet on nanotechnology, similar to nanopads.
Exactly :-). It is a nanotechnology operating on the principle of negative pressure. As soon as you press the iPhone against the pad, a negative pressure is created. It can really hold the iPhone firmly. A photo of the nanopad is, for example, in the product gallery: http://bevivid.cz/produkt/vivid-space-iphone-6-6s/ (this is the last photo)
Well, that's the photo I'm talking about - the adhesive pad is out of focus there, and only the other part of the case is in focus. It probably wanted to use a slightly higher aperture and thus increase the depth of field. They don't have a better photo anywhere.
I recently stayed in a hotel for two weeks where they didn't have smart cards to enter the rooms, but magnetic ones. Their presence near the iPhone did them no good at all. I even had three cards for the room, but practically every day all three gradually stopped working and I had to exchange them for other ones at the reception. And I didn't have them slapped on the iPhone like it was in this case. I know that here at least payment cards are mostly chip-based, but even then, strangely enough, sometimes someone wants to use the magnetic stripe. Fortunately, it has been trouble free so far.
