How was it submitted yesterday, Apple has officially launched a public beta testing program with the first million users who signed up for the program last month. They were notified by e-mail and if they did not receive one, they can log in to relevant page, where they should receive the code, i.e. if they were among the million. However, the page currently only shows the message "We'll be back", so the enormous interest may have crashed Apple's servers.

Those interested will receive a promo code that needs to be redeemed in the Mac App Store, after which the beta version will begin to download. However, many users are reporting that their code has already been used according to the Mac App Store, so this could be an issue with Apple, or the used promo codes are being shown to everyone else who didn't get into the program. The public beta version is newer than the previous version Developer Preview 4, so Apple may have already fixed some bugs, after all there are still more than enough in the system and we do not recommend installing the beta version on your main computer or at least on the main disk partition. Also, expect that some key features from the new system will not work. This includes, for example, Continuity, which requires iOS 8, which is currently only available to developers.

The beta version will also not be updated as often as the developer version. Users can provide feedback to Apple through the app Feedback Assistant. The sharp version should then be released either in September together with iOS 8, or later in October, at least according to the latest rumors.
