The message that life is much better with positive thinking may sound like a cliché, but I also know a number of people (and I count myself among them) for whom it really works. However, satisfaction is not only the elimination of negative emotions and various concerns what happens if… An important part is also the joy of what happened. And be grateful for it.

Although I prefer pen and paper for all kinds of personal notes of this type, I appreciate the effort to create an app that promotes positive thinking in people. These include i Gratitude. Its name suggests a lot. And the use? Imagine that you take your iPhone or iPad in the evening before falling asleep and write in the program everything that pleased you during the day, what was accomplished, what you are grateful for. And this is what you do every day. The effect will not take long.

It's not about just nurturing gratitude, but above all, such notes force you to look for positive events in each day you live. From my experience, I recommend writing more than five items. Why? Because you could be satisfied with just one or two, but once you have the minimum limit, you have to think more deeply about the day you have lived. You will find that you will begin to perceive (and be grateful for) more positive things even for seemingly ordinary things. And that's the point.

I could imagine the implementation of the application a little less sweetheart, fortunately the motifs can be changed, even if the selection is not exactly varied. But the controls are simple, and the environment as such is actually the same – nothing gets in the way, you have space for your notes, which are crucial. And you can also rate your overall satisfaction with the day with the help of stars.

As a reward, you will receive an encouraging quote after saving the day.

The functions include both security using a numerical password, as well as searching (and of course browsing), sending to e-mail, and the option to add a photo will please you. The version for iPad differs from the one for iPhone with the possibility to export notes to PDF, to specify themes and font not only in general, but for each day separately, and to add a total of four photos instead of one. A bonus is the inspirational thoughts written on the day's paper.

The version for iPad also has a larger number of themes, but not backgrounds, but illustrations and icons that have the function of bullet points (it can be a sun, a star, a peace sign, etc.).

If you are not tied to paper and don't mind typing notes of a more personal nature into applications, Gratitude can do a great service. Honestly, it makes a difference when you are on gratitude only you think and when you formulate and write it. I recommend trying it.
