The price of $999 for an iMac doesn't sound unrealistic - until you realize that this is an iMac from 2006, before the first iPhone was even born. Just such a discovery was made by a Twitter user with the nickname @DylanMCD8 during one of your visits to the online Apple Store. However, it appears that Apple has no real plans to resell its 1,83-year-old computer with a 2-inch screen and XNUMXGHz Intel Core XNUMX Duo processor - it was simply a technical error that rarely happens.

The aforementioned iMac was once sold with 512 MB of RAM, a 160 GB Serial ATA hard disk and, from today's perspective, quite outdated graphics. At that time, customers could also purchase an AirPort Extreme router from Apple. The XNUMX-inch monitor was embedded in a white plastic construction, and at the time of its release, this iMac was a huge sales hit.

User DylanMcD8 wasn't the only one to spot the old iMac on the online Apple Store - the computer was even able to add a virtual shopping cart, according to screenshots from Twitter. One of the Twitter users even ordered a computer, but immediately received an email from Apple to cancel the order. He also appeared user post, who instead found an older MacBook Air in the online Apple Store. At the moment, however, the 2006 iMac is no longer listed in the online Apple Store, nor can it be found through the search box. It is understandable that this was a mistake - it would be difficult for Apple to start selling any of its products after so many years. However, this error caused a discussion among some of the public, regarding the fact that a number of Apple devices maintain a certain quality even for a relatively long time.
