Earlier today, Apple announced plans to build Europe's first ever iOS app development center in Naples, Italy. The center should contribute to the further development of application ecosystems, especially thanks to promising European developers who will have enough space to implement new projects.

According to the announcement, Apple will enter into a partnership with a certain unnamed local institution. With it, he will then develop a special program to expand the community of iOS developers, which already has a decent foundation. Among other things, the company will cooperate with Italian companies that offer training in various programs, which could increase the reach of the entire development center.

"Europe is home to highly creative developers from around the world, and we're excited to help them expand the knowledge they need to succeed in the industry with a development center in Italy," said Tim Cook, CEO of the company. “The phenomenal success of the App Store is one of the main driving forces. We have created over 1,4 million jobs in Europe and offer people of all ages and backgrounds unique opportunities around the world.”

The ecosystem around all Apple products creates over 1,4 million jobs across Europe, of which 1,2 million are associated with application development. This category includes both developers and software engineers, entrepreneurs and workers who have nothing to do with the IT industry. The company estimates that over 75 jobs are linked to the App Store in Italy alone. Apple also publicly stated that within Europe, iOS app developers generated a profit of 10,2 billion euros.

There are companies in the Italian developer market that have become famous around the world thanks to their applications, and some of them were directly targeted by Apple's revenue report. In particular, Qurami is a company with an application that provides the ability to purchase tickets for various events. Also IK Multimedia, which specializes in audio production, among other things. This company has really hit the ground running with their app, having already reached the milestone of 2009 million downloads since its launch in 25. Last but not least, among these big players is Musement, with its app from 2013 that offers travel tips for more than 300 cities in 50 countries.

Apple also mentioned the company Laboratorio Elettrofisico, whose specialization is the creation of magnetic technologies and components that are used in Apple products. Manufacturers of MEM (micro-electro-mechanical) systems used in the sensors of some products also benefit from the great success of Apple.

The Cupertino tech giant also said it plans to open additional development centers for iOS apps, but has yet to specify a location or date.
