Apple has released a new beta version of the iOS 9 operating system, and this time it will be a relatively major tenth update. iOS 9.3 brings some interesting new features and features, often ones that users have been clamoring for. For now, everything is in beta and the public version hasn't been released yet, so only registered developers are testing it.

One of the biggest news in iOS 9.3 is called Night Shift, which is a special night mode. It has been proven that once people look at their device, which emits blue light, for too long, and especially before going to bed, the signals from the display will be affected and it will be much more difficult to fall asleep. Apple has solved this situation in an elegant way.

It recognizes where you are and when it's dark based on time and geographic location, and automatically eliminates elements of blue light that disrupt sleep. Therefore, the colors will not be so pronounced, the brightness will be "muted" to a certain extent, and you will avoid unfavorable elements. During the morning, specifically at sunrise, the display will return to normal tracks. By all accounts, Night Shift will function very similarly to a handy f.lux utility on Mac, which for a while appeared unofficially on iOS as well. F.lux also turns the display yellow depending on the time of day to make it easier on the eyes.

Notes that can be locked will be improved in iOS 9.3. It will be possible to lock selected notes that you don't want anyone else to see either with a password or Touch ID. It's definitely a smart way to protect your valuable information like account and credit card numbers, PINs, and other more sensitive stuff if you're not using 1Password, for example.

iOS 9.3 is also essential in education. The long-awaited multi-user mode is coming to iPads. Students can now log in with their simple credentials to any iPad in any classroom and use it as their own. This will result in more efficient use of the iPad for each individual student. Teachers can use the Classroom app to track all their students and monitor their progress in real time. Apple has also developed an easier Apple ID creation with this function. At the same time, the Californian company pointed out that multiple users will be able to use one iPad only in education, not with current accounts.

The latest operating system also comes with a gadget that will allow multiple Apple Watch smartwatches to be paired with one iPhone. This will be especially appreciated by those who want to share their data with family or friends, provided that the target group also owns a Watch. In order to use this function, however, it is necessary to have the new watchOS 2.2 operating system installed in the smart watch, the beta of which was also released yesterday. At the same time, Apple is preparing the ground for the release of the second generation of its watch - so users will be able to pair the first and second generation if they buy it.

The 9.3D Touch function is even more usable in iOS 3. Newly, other basic applications also react to prolonged finger holding, the most interesting of which is probably Settings. Hold down your finger and you can instantly move to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or battery settings, which makes working with your iPhone even faster.

In iOS 9.3, the news is also in the native News app. Articles in the "For You" section are now better tailored to users. In this section, readers can also choose current news and give a chance to recommended texts (Editor's Picks). The video can now be started directly from the main page and you can read it on the iPhone even in a horizontal position.

Smaller-scale improvements also came next. The Health app now allows more information to be displayed on the Apple Watch and recommends third-party apps in different categories (such as weight). CarPlay has also received some improvement and now presents "For You" recommendations to all drivers and improves the quality of the Maps application with functions such as "Nearby stops" for refreshments or refueling.

Books and other documents in iBooks finally have iCloud sync support, and Photos has a new option to duplicate images, as well as the ability to create a regular photo from Live Photos.

Among other things, even Siri has expanded to include another language, but unfortunately it is not Czech. Finnish has been given priority, so the Czech Republic has no choice but to wait.
