iOS 7 will likely integrate Vimeo and Flickr, following the example of Twitter and Facebook's already integrated social networking system. Apple will probably follow the same model as Mac OS X Mountain Lion, where Vimeo and Flickr are already integrated. The inclusion of Vimeo and Flickr will offer many exciting new options for iOS users.
The deepening integration will allow users to upload videos from mobile devices directly to Vimeo, as well as photos on Flickr. As with Facebook and Twitter, the user will be able to log in through the system settings, allowing for easier control, sharing and integration with other applications. The unnamed source that provided the information to the server 9to5Mac.com, argues that:
“With the Flickr integration, iPhone, iPad and iPod users will be able to share photos stored on their devices directly to Flickr with one tap. Flickr has already been integrated into the iPhoto application for iOS, as well as into Mac OS X Mountain Lion since 2012. However, iOS 7 will offer a photo sharing service completely integrated into the system for the first time in the history of iOS”. (source 9to5mac.com) Integrating Flickr into iOS is a logical step in the growing relationship between Apple and Yahoo.
The integration of Vimeo is also a likely step in connection with Apple's efforts to break away from Google's products. YouTube is not part of the package of basic applications from iOS 6. At the same time, Apple started to offer a replacement for Google Maps. The integration of Vimeo and Flickr will probably not be shown until the GM version, i.e. around the beginning of September. It wouldn't be out of place if Apple also integrated other services, such as a professional social network LinkedIn. At the same time, iOS 7 should also carry cosmetic changes that are being prepared under the direction of chief designer Jony Ive.
The increased traffic of devices using the yet-to-be-released iOS 7 suggests that the introduction of the new operating system is fast approaching. Apple is likely to introduce the new iOS 7 along with other new software and hardware at the WWDC conference in June this year, which is just a few weeks away.
Just not that! This imposition of social the network is dialing me!
You don't have to log in, now I have twitter and FB, I didn't fill in any of the data...
not me either, but just their presence in the iP city... a subconsciously imposed pseudo-obligation to be close to facebook... WHY????????????
Just because you don't use it doesn't mean it can't be hidden in iOS, right? I and most people I know use Facebook/Twitter integration in iOS a lot, so I don't see a problem with it.
In addition, when the Facebook/Twitter application installs itself, as soon as you turn it on, it doesn't even take up space.
Do you have any problems with social networks in general? Otherwise, I don't know why one extra function, which you don't have to use at all, but most people use, should arouse so much hatred in you. Hmmm :-/
It overloads the system unnecessarily. Anyone can install it anyway! Vimeo still sucks, it's competition oro youtube.
I'm not sure if it puts a lot of strain on the system. it's integration. no application installed. facebook and twitter are also integrated, but they are not pre-installed applications in iOS. I don't think it will add much. I used to hate facebook and twitter. vimeo and flickr will do at least a little. definitely better than YouTube (which was previously in iOS, so again, something was lost last time).
Of course, this will not take much concretely, but you have to calculate it and if the same tendency is the same in the future, it will be terrible. Jobs was trimming the system and they are starting to mutilate it. Flicker looks interesting now. Facebook is crazy for business people and teenagers and the shy ones :)
Yes ahaaa flicker belongs to yahoo. Well, now I understand completely :) so I approve of them more than Facebook
I welcome the integration of Flickr into iOS. Apple has supported this service for many years on both Macs and Apple TV, and after MobileMe Gallery ended, Flickr remained the only usable photo gallery service. Due to the beginning changes around Flickr, I believe that it will become very popular soon.
if they made the integration on google, that would suit me the most.
no, no, no... I wouldn't like to see that again. ;)
