The development studio Wales Interactive is known for its projects that balance somewhere on the border of video games and cinematic art. We have been able to enjoy several such "interactive movies" from productive developers recently. While the horror Night Book and the frighteningly contemporary The Complex were rather chamber dramas, their new Bloodshore dares more and is inspired by battle royale films in the style of the original Battle Royale or the popular Hunger Games.

In Bloodshore, you take on the role of Nick Romeo, a former child actor from the werewolf film series. After years of drinking and other drugs, Romeo has no choice but to enter the Kill Stream competition. The show, which originally functioned as a last resort for those on death row, has evolved over the years into a popular show where desperate celebrities, internet influencers and extreme sports fans compete for a big cash prize. But as it gradually begins to show during the competition, Romeo ultimately has other goals than winning a huge sum of money.

It will take you about an hour and a half to finish Bloodstream and get to the bottom of the mystery behind the bloody spectacle. However, due to the large number of different options, the game offers great replayability. You will have to play through the game multiple times to see all the possible endings. Bloodstream is therefore ideal entertainment in situations where you cannot decide between playing a game or watching a movie.
