The 31st App Week features The Walking Dead themed game, Timeful, and Wunderlist, among many other things. The official Wikipedia and Asana applications received a redesigned design.

News from the world of applications

The third season of The Walking Dead will also arrive on mobile devices (July 28)

Information about a game based on The Walking Dead themes already appeared in the previous week of applications, but the current ones refer to a game based on the themes not of the TV series, but of the original comic.

They take the main characters, plot and aesthetics from it. Telltale's The Walking Dead has a serial nature, with each game divided into five episodes that are released throughout the year. "The Walking Dead" appeared in 2012, its continuation (the second season) at the end of 2013. The last episode of the second season has not yet been released, but Telltale has already confirmed that players on practically all gaming platforms (PC, Mac, iOS, Android and game consoles) can also look forward to the third.

Apart from this information, nothing else is known yet, i.e. neither the content nor the release date, which is, however, estimated for 2015.

New applications

Timeful

Timeful is a new smart app for iOS devices that falls under the category of life hacking. Its main goal is to enable users to live a more efficient life by combining in one application an integrated iOS calendar with a daily schedule, a to-do list and other simple daily activities or habits that we normally perform. Timeful aims to provide personalized experiences that encourage users to plan activities, achieve goals and improve their lives overall.

After the first launch, you simply synchronize your entire iOS calendar with the application and with a simple plus button you can create new lists of tasks, planned events or new activities. You can set different time alerts or repeated time periods for each category. So you can very simply plan to write your blog for an hour every evening and meditate for 30 minutes every morning. To do this, you can see your entire calendar and all scheduled meetings, including a to-do list, in one application. You can find the application in the App Store completely free of charge.

wunderlist 3

The popular task application Wunderlist has received a new update with serial number 3, which, in addition to redesigned graphics and design, includes more than 60 new features. You can easily share individual lists that you create in the application with family or friends. You also have the option to participate in other lists that someone has shared with you. In practice, you can share shopping lists with the whole family and conveniently share the entire purchase, including comments that you can add to individual lists. You can now add photos, PDF files or presentations to lists. There's also a reminder function, so you'll never forget anything again. You can find Wunderlist 3 in the App Store completely free.

Wikipedia Mobile 4

Wikipedia has released its redesigned and updated app, which brings a number of improvements. Newly, the complete design of the entire application is much cleaner and, above all, clearer. The entire application has also become very fast and you can view and edit content at the same time. Other improvements include offline page saving, a complete history of all your articles, and new language support. Newly, developers are also communicating with mobile operators and trying to make Wikipedia content free in developing countries without the need for a data plan. You can find the application for free in the App Store.

Important update

An equalizer has arrived in the Spotify application

Spotify has released a major update to its iOS app. The update to version 1.1 includes a number of new features. Of note are the redesigned artist pages on the iPad, the Discover feature, and perhaps the most useful new addition to the app is a simple equalizer. The latter allows users to customize the audio recording with six frequency sliders. Of course, the update fixes many bugs and inaccuracies. You can download the application for free in the App Store.

Big update for Asana

Asana is a "team collaboration without email" app. It allows a team of collaborators to easily and efficiently organize and assign tasks, share relevant data and track deadlines.

Now it has received a significant update in the form of a significantly redesigned user experience. A home screen with an overview of current projects/tasks has been added to the application, search is more accessible, and changes to the priority and order of tasks have also become easier. These can be edited by simply holding and dragging.

OneNote for iPhone gets file embedding capability

In version 2.3, Microsoft's application for working with notes received the ability to insert files into notes. These can then be opened by double-clicking or shared via AirDrop.

Users also gain access to password-protected sections of notes (after entering one, of course). You can also create notebooks and save them to OneDrive for Business, the text will retain its original formatting after insertion. In addition, tools for reorganizing sections and pages of notes within notebooks and a wider possibility of working with pdf have been added. Version (15.2) of OneNote for OS X has also been enriched with most of the same features.

Yahoo has changed the design of the Finance app

If you're a fan of the iOS 7 version of the Weather app, you've probably come across the app from Yahoo. It is very similar in appearance (or the weather from Apple is similar to the application from Yahoo, which appeared earlier in that form), but it provides much more information. It's the same with a stock tracking app. In the new version, Finance from Yahoo has moved away from the design of Stocks from Apple, but paradoxically it now fits more into the family of iOS 7 applications.

The Finance application is now divided into tabs, the most interesting of which is the "home screen" containing personalized information about the companies being watched and a tab with news from the world of shares. All data is newly updated in real time.
