SwiftKey mixed up user suggestions, sync temporarily disabled (29/7)

The iOS keyboard, SwiftKey, has been behaving somewhat peculiarly lately. Among other things, it offered its users email addresses they had never heard of before and words and phrases in languages they did not speak. Faulty cross-device synchronization is to blame, according to SwiftKey's owner, Microsoft.

So that the keyboard behaves the same on all devices of the given user, it is constantly synchronized. However, it somehow happened that the keyboards began to synchronize with the accounts of other users. So Microsoft has temporarily turned off synchronization and cancels e-mail address suggestions with updates, although the problem is said not to pose a security risk.

Important update

HERE Maps has become HERE WeGo, news is coming

[su_youtube url=”https://youtu.be/w8Ubjerd788″ width=”640″]

Even with the new name, HERE WeGo is of course still the same set of (high-quality) map data, but the epithet "WeGo" aims to clarify what they are primarily intended for. The purpose of the app is not to just look at maps or find places, but to find out how to get to those places.

The user interface of the application has also adapted to this philosophy. When launched, it immediately asks the user the question "Where to?", so they can immediately search for a destination, not just a place. When creating routes and offering possible routes and modes of transport, the user is shown information not only about the distance and length of the trip, but also, for example, the elevation gain for bicycle routes or the price or possible delays for public transport. HERE WeGo also offers the option of searching for a route using ridesharing or carsharing services.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has arrived on tvOS with an update

Photoshop Lightroom users who also own the new Apple TV can now view their edited photos on the TV. Although the tvOS app has the same name as a professional photo editing tool, it is only a viewer that works with the photos stored on the user's account. So just install Lightroom on Apple TV and sign in to Adobe Creative Cloud.

At the time of publication of this article, the application is not yet available in the Czech App Store. But we should probably wait soon.
