Kim Kardashian's game could make up to $200 million this year (15/7)
iOS users have proven themselves capable of spending obscene amounts of money on completely stupid in-app purchases. At the end of June, the American celebrity Kim Kardashian presented her first iOS video game, which was provided to her by developers from the Glu studio. In the game itself Kim Kardashian: Hollywood you start as a model who wants to conquer Hollywood under the guidance of the famous celebrity Kim Kardashian. You have to dress your virtual celebrity in expensive things, go to parties, sometimes drink alcohol or make a scene, so the classic life of a celebrity. Hence all the in-app purchases you need to make on your way to fame and success in the game.
The game is currently ranked third in the App Store and has a record number of downloads. It follows that the shares of the Glu studio have increased rapidly in the recent period and are currently hovering around $6. Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is mainly aimed at young girls who, as you can see, do not hesitate to sacrifice real money for virtual fame and entertainment.

Realmac Software is preparing a new Markdown editor (17/7)
Markdown, a text format for simple conversion to html form, is an important part of Realmac Software - it is used both in the creation of the company's website and as part of their products. It will now be part of other software from Realmac, Ember and Rapidweaver, but more significant is the announcement of a brand new app, a Markdown-focused text editor called Typed. Realmac explains this by incomplete satisfaction with already existing editors.
Typed is supposed to bring a minimalistic user interface, licensed fonts, full-screen display option, HTML preview, character and word counters, auto-save and a large number of keyboard shortcuts. Typed will be compatible with OS X Mavericks and Yosemite at launch.
The launch date is not yet known, but on the website realmac can sign up for alerts. Priced at $19, it will be only $99 for a while after launch.

Gree and Ubisoft release Assassin's Creed Memories for iOS (17/7)
After "Pirates", Assasin's Creed Memories is another unorthodox addition to the Assasin's Creed universe, this time created by a collaboration between Gree, Ubisoft and PlayNext. In the press release, "Memories" is presented as a combination of RPG and strategy, featuring both single and multiplayer, allowing up to forty players to fight, divided into two opposing sides. "With an emphasis on customization and strategy, each player will be able to create a unique experience by choosing what type of Assassin they want to be and what allies they want to have by their side," reads the press release. At the same time, players will look at Italy during the Renaissance, Colonial America and others. Assassin's Creed is currently available for free in selected countries, at the end of the summer it will also be available worldwide for free.

The official Analytics app from Google

Game of Thrones Ascent has arrived on iPhone
In March we are you informed about the launch of Game of Thrones Ascent in the iPad version. A version for the smaller iPhone display is now added to that. Game of Thrones Ascent is originally a Facebook strategy game, and like the Game of Thrones books and TV series, it became very successful, appearing on Facebook's list of the best games of the year. In it, players become a noble from the Westeros estate in a world prior to the one we know from the books/series. Game of Thrones Ascent is available for free.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
At the beginning of August, another Marvel film, Guardians of the Galaxy, will appear in cinemas. Presumably as part of an advertising campaign, a game of the same name (nicknamed "The Universal Weapon") appeared on the AppStore, with the same heroes, but with a different plot. Players can choose any of the five main characters as their character and discover the secrets of their archenemy through strategic turn-based battles over the course of sixty levels.
The game Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon is available in the App Store for 4,49 euros.

Important update
New weapons and story for Dead Trigger
The apocalyptic shooter Dead Trigger 2 has received a significant update that will transfer the protagonist from the African continent to Europe. Here again, bloody battles against zombie creatures and the search for the origin of the entire infection will continue. In the new update, two new weapons, improved visual effects and above all a new arena called "Purgatory" have been added, in which you will find ingenious and new traps to eliminate all enemies. Additionally, all older campaign stories that are freely available remain in the game for you to play freely.
The update also recently brought the news of similarly unique online tournaments that will be held every weekend. These tournaments will take place in the newly created arena with its own gladiatorial rules.
Shazam can play complete songs thanks to Rdio
The very popular Shazam service has received a useful update. The new version of Shazam 7.7.0 has arrived in the App Store, which brings the integration of the streaming music service Rdio. In this new way, the Shazam application will recognize the song very simply, and then, thanks to the Rdio service, you can play it like other music applications, such as Spotify, iTunes Radio and others.
Shazam has thus joined the modern trend and can be a great competitor for other applications. Apple also promises that in the new operating system iOS 8, the Shazam application will be directly integrated into the system, and it is therefore very interesting that Apple did not prefer its own already functioning service iTunes Radio or Beats Music.
Airbnb comes with rebranding and app redesign
The Airbnb app is getting more and more popular and the developers came out with a big update last week. The application offers users to rent an apartment or sleep over from other residents around the world. Not only the application, but also the entire Airbnb website has been updated, which is characterized by a new logo and overall rebranding. In the application, you will find a new logo, richer and more colorful colors, which are complemented by new live photos related to the use of the application around the world. New features and a completely redesigned design have also been added.
