The popular social network Twitter has decided to unify its mobile apps for iPhones and iPads to offer users the same experience on all devices. At the same time, Twitter is preparing for the future, where it will better adapt to any new environment.

Until now, the official Twitter clients looked different on iPhone and iPad. In the new versions, however, the user will come to a familiar environment, whether he opens the application on an Apple phone or tablet. The changes mainly concern the iPad version, which has come closer to that of the iPhone.

Twitter's efforts to unify both applications he explains in detail on the blog. In order to make it easier to adapt to the iOS ecosystem with many devices, he created a new adaptive user interface that adapts according to the type of device, orientation, window size and, most importantly, also adapts the typography.

The application now calculates the ideal length of a line and other text elements depending on the size of the window (regardless of the font size), adapts the display of images according to whether the device is in portrait or landscape, and also easily responds to two windows side by side that will go in within iOS 9 view on iPad.

Twitter is already ready for the new multitasking in iOS 9, and if Apple also introduces the almost 13-inch iPad Pro tomorrow, its developers will not have to make practically any effort to adapt the application to such a large display.

Although minor differences remain between the iPhone and iPad applications, Twitter promises to complete their complete convergence. You can now also use the new tweet quoting system on the iPad.
