The popular Twitter client for iPhone Tweetbot was released in version 3.5, which brings news made possible by the new iOS 8. The Twitter application for Mac also received an almost unexpected update, exactly after ten months.

Tweetbot 3.5

While users are waiting in vain for the new Tweetbot for iPad, whose interface still remains in iOS 6, the pair of developers from Tapbots at least regularly releases updates for the iPhone version. Tweetbot 3.5 tries to make the most of the news in iOS 8 and does not forget the new iPhones 6 and 6 Plus.

Apps that developers don't update for larger iPhone displays will run on the latest iPhones, but they won't be as smooth and pleasing to the eye. This is finally no longer the case for Tweetbot, which Twitter users will certainly appreciate, as this client is usually one of the most used applications.

Those who don't yet have six-figure iPhones, however, will also get some news. Tapbots decided to integrate a system sharing menu into Tweetbot, which has now replaced the original custom creation menu. Just hold your finger on any tweet and you will get options to share, save, or open the content in other applications. Tweetbot 3.5 also supports extensions for 1Password.

With the new version of Tweetbot, it is now possible to use interactive notifications. Unlike system applications, it is not possible to reply to a mention in a tweet directly in the notification, but directly from the notification you can either star the tweet or call up the screen for writing a reply.

Twitter for Mac

The last update that the official Mac client for Twitter received came on December 18, 2013. Until yesterday, this date was valid, but now a new version with the serial number 3.1 has been released, which does not bring any revolutionary news, but for those who still official apps remain, this is welcome news.

The entire update is about photos. Now, finally, even in Twitter for Mac, you can add up to four photos to a single tweet, as well as view them sequentially. Photos can also be shared in private messages.
