Apple is not just an "iPhone maker". Over the decades of its existence, it has managed to introduce a number of fundamental products, some of which are considered by many to be even more fundamental than the iPhone. For the first twenty years of its existence, the company was perceived as a Macintosh manufacturer. At the turn of the millennium, the iPod became the symbol of the main Apple product, followed by the iPhone a few years later. In addition to these discussed products, Apple is also responsible for a number of other innovations.
Apple Watch
The Apple Watch is the only piece of wearable electronics produced by Apple. They are not only used to mirror notifications from the iPhone or to receive and make phone calls, but also represent an ever-increasing benefit to the health of their users. It can reliably and faithfully monitor its owner's physical activity and heart activity, and provides him with appropriate feedback. In addition to movement, Apple Watch can also motivate users to breathe properly and relax. With each new generation, Apple's smartwatches keep getting better, and it's interesting to see how they've turned from an "ordinary" gadget into a full-fledged companion on the way to a healthier lifestyle.
Apple Pay
Apple's goal is to make paying for goods easier, faster, and safer — and it's succeeding. According to Apple, traditional payment cards are outdated and vulnerable. They can be lost, stolen, and they contain sensitive data. Apple Pay offers a much more elegant and secure way to pay. Just hold the iPhone to the terminal or double-press the side button on the Apple Watch - no need to pull out any cards. Apple Pay is slowly but surely spreading to the world, and Apple recently added its own credit card called Apple Card – non-plastic and perfectly secure.
AirPods
Apple introduced its wireless AirPods headphones almost three years ago. At that time, it was a product of a completely new category, which gradually gained great popularity among the public. There are a lot of wireless headphones on the market today, but AirPods are very popular for their ease of pairing and small size, and none of the similar design alternatives can match them. AirPods are completely free of any physical buttons – they work based on customizable gestures. We recently got an update to AirPods – the second generation boasts a new, even more powerful chip and a case with wireless charging capabilities.
What comes next?
Although Apple is increasingly focused on services, it is highly unlikely that it will completely give up on innovation. In connection with the future of the Cupertino company, there is talk, for example, of glasses for augmented reality or autonomous control technologies.
Which of the Apple products do you think is the most innovative?
Until now, I lived in the fact that Apple always stole it somewhere. Like the HomePod and the unreleased Airpower. Under Cook, Apple didn't do anything that the competition hadn't already done for years. That's the reality.
PS Actually still Apple Pencil. But it's stolen too.
They should finally start focusing properly on what they have always done best and made the most money. And those are iPhones and MacBooks. The fact that they will release some services is great, but I am 200% sure that this will not make them nearly as much money as the above mentioned device. I'm a big fan of wanting the best on the market when I buy a new phone, but if it costs the same as a new kitchen, I'm not interested. By this I am referring to extremely inflated prices. I just don't want a second hand device. So if apple doesn't release a phone that will cost under 30 thousand, then I'm not interested.
so don't buy it. On the one hand, you want the best on the market, but you don't want to pay for it. You're contradicting yourself, don't you think?
Regardless of the fact that people here cry about the prices, but people buy it anyway. That's how the market works. Supply and demand. When apple sells 100 iPhones, then they probably overshot it.
