There is only one king this year. Although the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max have only one difference in their specifications (that is, logically, if we do not count the size of the display and battery), it clearly defines a more equipped and a less equipped model. How will it be with the technical innovations introduced by the iPhone 15 Pro in next year's iPhones, even with regard to the basic series?

It's true that the iPhone 15 Pro brought a lot of news this year. These are, for example, titanium, the Action button and even the tetraprismatic telephoto lens of the iPhone 15 Pro Max model. At least the whole series uses USB-C. Next year, however, it will unite even more. Well, at least judging by the available information leaks from Apple's supply chain.

Action button for everyone, but different

Only the iPhone 15 Pro has an Action button instead of a volume switch, and it is certainly a shame for those interested in the basic model, because the button is not only practical but also quite addictive to use. With the iPhone 16 series, Apple plans to provide this button to all newly released models. That's certainly good and, after all, it was kind of expected, because it clearly makes sense. But current leak mentions even more news around this element.

Instead of a mechanical button, after a year of its existence, we should expect a capacitive, i.e. sensory button, which cannot be physically pressed. After all, we already heard about it before the arrival of the iPhone 14, and now this idea is being revived. In addition, the button could even function as Touch ID, which is rather surprising that Apple would want to return to the fingerprint scanner in its iPhones. However, the button should still be able to recognize pressure, thanks to the force sensor. This could unlock more of his options that we could use to interact with him.

5x telephoto lens even for a smaller model

The iPhone 15 Pro has a 12MP telephoto lens that only offers 15x zoom, but the iPhone 15 Pro Max uses an improved telephoto lens that allows for 120x optical zoom. And it's a pleasure to take pictures with him. Not only is it really fun, but the results are unexpectedly high quality. However, the iPhone XNUMX Pro Max does not have a periscope, but rather a tetraprism, i.e. a special prism consisting of four elements, which allows us a longer focal length of XNUMX mm.

According to a new report coming from the magazine The Elec Apple will give this lens to the iPhone 16 Pro next year. The analyst also mentions it repeatedly Ming-Chi Kuo. It seems logical in all respects, since this year the smaller model did not receive this lens, most likely due to the failure of its production, which initially produced up to 70% scrap. Next year everything should be fine-tuned. But it also has a dark side, which means that we will probably not see any progress in this regard with the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
