At today's WWDC 2022 opening conference, Apple showed off the expected iOS 16 operating system, which is literally packed with a number of interesting new features and functions. Specifically, we will see a drastic redesign of the lock screen that can be completely personalized, the Live Activities function, great improvements for focus modes, the ability to edit/delete already sent messages in iMessage, better dictation and a bunch of other changes. So it's no wonder that iOS 16 has gained quite a bit of attention and favor from users quite quickly.

Anyway, in the list of all the new features of the iOS 16 system, which is available on the official website from Apple, there was a rather interesting mention. Specifically, we mean Web push notifications in other words, support for push notifications from the web, which is simply missing on apple phones to this day. Although the arrival of this news had already been talked about before, it was still not certain if we would actually see it and possibly when. And now, fortunately, we are clear about it. The iOS 16 operating system will finally make available the possibility to activate push notifications from popular websites, which will then send us notifications at the system level and thus inform us about all the news. In addition, according to some sources, this option will open not only for the native Safari browser, but also for all others.

Undoubtedly, this is positive news with great news. But there is a small catch. Although the iOS 16 operating system will be released to the public already this autumn, it will unfortunately not be able to understand push notifications from the web from the beginning. Apple mentions one rather important fact directly on the website. The feature will not arrive on iPhones until next year. For now, it is not clear why we will actually wait for it or when we will see it specifically. So there is nothing left to do but wait.
