AirPods wireless headphones have become a huge hit in their short life stage. They sell very well and it is therefore logical that other manufacturers will try to make something out of their success. We have had several such cases in the past - for example, headphones from the Bragi company, or a direct competitor from Google. However, in neither case was it a major success. With its version, Sony now intends to break through, having introduced the Xperia Ear Duo headphones a few hours ago.

The presentation took place at MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona. Xperia Ear Duo wireless headphones are supposed to combine several features that should make users fall in love with them. So it is about wireless headphones, which is charged using a charging case (just like AirPods). The headphones are compatible with both Siri and Google Assistant.

The novelty also features "Spacial Acoustic Conductor" technology, thanks to which the user can hear both the music being played and all the surrounding sound. In this way, there is no risk of possible accidents caused by "detachment from reality", which some headphones with good isolation sometimes provide. The problem may be that this function cannot be turned off, as it is tightly linked to the design of the headphones.

The headphones support touch gestures, which are used to control both playback and update the intelligent assistant. The built-in accelerometers should supposedly recognize gestures such as nodding or turning the head (to receive or reject a call). The headphones should last up to four hours on a single charge, with the charging case providing enough power for another three full charges. The release is scheduled for May and the price tag should be around $280. Compared to AirPods, interested parties will pay significantly more. With this price tag, it will be quite difficult for AirPods to compete…
